Public Encouraged To Help Tackle Hate Crime
UK police recorded over a hundred thousand incidents of hate crime in the country last year. This was 8% higher than the previous year and illustrate an extremely worrying trend that racism and other forms of discrimination are on the rise. This could be due to a number of reasons including the Brexit vote. Now that the UK has left the European Union, tougher boarder controls have been put in place as the UK has regained control of who can come in to the country.

The Girl Scout Murders
In 1977, about two months before a Girl Scout camping trip at Camp Scott in Mayes County, Oklahoma, there was an on-site training session for the counselors. One counselor found that someone had gone through her belongings and stolen her doughnuts. She found a handwritten note inside the doughnut box that read “We are on a mission to kill three girls in tent one.” She went to the camp director with the note. The note was played off as a prank and thrown away.

However, gangs are a vital part of growing up and help youngsters to become law-abiding citizens. How we are being failed (part 1)
This morning I woke up and put on the news, and was saddened by what I saw. I saw a Senate committee with 4 women talking about how they were abused by their doctor. These women were pro gymnasts (Simone Biles, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, and Maggie Nichols) their abuser (Larry Nassar) was their doctor. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, that they were brave enough to speak up but the FBI did nothing for a year, letting this doctor hurt more women. How could have this happened? This is a travesty that in this day that anyone could go through something so awful, step up and nothing happens for a year. These women are in the spotlight which is why we’re hearing about this now, but so many people who don’t have the popularity to take this to the Senate are still out there, feeling their voices aren’t heard. This should never happen.

The strange disappearance of Patricia “Patti” Adkins
Ohio has an extraordinary number of unsolved homicide and missing persons cases. One of the most intriguing ones I have followed for years is the story of Patti Adkins. Patti, a 29-year-old single mother worked at the Honda plant in Marysville, Ohio. After leaving work on June 29, 2001, she vanished. It’s been over twenty years since anyone has seen or heard from her.
