Aurora, Colorado's very own Isabella Guzman was infamous for engaging in intense conflicts with her mother. A series of events would eventually lead Isabella to commit the unimaginable. In the year 2013, when Isabella turned 18, she resided with her mother and stepfather. However, Isabella's time was primarily consumed by her friends and boyfriend, causing her mother to view her as a challenging and unapproachable young woman. On the contrary, Isabella had no qualms about spending time with her biological father. Unfortunately, her mental health issues went unnoticed, and she was simply labeled as a rebellious and uncontrollable teenager.

As summer of 2013 approached its end, Isabella's mother's relationship with her deteriorated further. There were instances where Isabella's mother contemplated evicting her, especially after discovering that Isabella had snuck her boyfriend into the house while she was away. The neighbors, who were constantly aware of these occurrences, informed Isabella's mother, escalating the tension between both parties. Upon confrontation, Isabella's aggression and abusive behavior towards her mother skyrocketed, with her resorting to yelling and even spitting in her face. Fearing for her safety, Isabella's mother requested that her husband remain close by throughout the night following the argument.

The very next day, Isabella sent an email with a threatening message, causing her mother to report her to the police. The authorities informed Isabella's mother that they had already warned Isabella and assured her safety. Despite this, Isabella's mother still felt uneasy and decided to reach out to Isabella's biological father in an attempt to have a conversation with her. Unexpectedly, despite displaying composure and understanding during their discussion, no one could have anticipated the events about to unfold.

Upon her return from work that evening, Isabella's mother proceeded to shower upstairs. Within moments, Isabella's stepfather overheard his wife pleading for help and rushed upstairs to unlock the door. However, he caught a glimpse of Isabella inside, who swiftly shut and locked the door before he could intervene. When Isabella's stepfather peered down, he discovered a pool of blood forming beneath the bathroom door. Fearing his wife was being assaulted, he immediately dialed 9-1-1. As he anxiously awaited help, he heard his wife utter the word "Jehovah." Finally, the door was opened, and Isabella stood before them.

Exiting the bathroom, Isabella's stepfather was startled to see his wife's lifeless body sprawled on the floor, bearing numerous knife wounds to her face and neck. A detailed autopsy report revealed that Isabella had savagely stabbed her mother a total of 151 times, inflicting 31 stabs to her face and an additional 48 to her neck. After committing this heinous act, Isabella swiftly departed the scene clad in a pink sports bra and turquoise shorts, carrying the murder weapon with her. Speculating that her mother was already deceased, Isabella's husband attempted to revive her with chest compressions, only to be met with a vacant stare. Breaking news in Aurora today unveils a manhunt for Isabella, the suspected perpetrator of a fatal overnight stabbing at a residence on South Lima Street near Parker and Havana. A reporter on the ground, Eric Loufer, provides us with the latest updates on the ongoing investigation. Having obtained a search warrant, law enforcement authorities meticulously examine the designated premises. Substantial police presence, indicated by a fleet of squad cars, cordons off the vicinity, while yellow tape demarcates the crime scene. Eric's live coverage shows the white house under scrutiny. Isabella Guzman, an 18-year-old woman, is the primary target of the investigation. Following an extensive search effort, including the deployment of a Denver police helicopter, she was swiftly apprehended by undercover officers. Isabella maintains her innocence, pleading insanity as her defense strategy during the trial's proceedings. The case underwent a thorough examination to uncover all relevant evidence and facts. After an extensive investigation, it was determined that she was not in the right state of mind when she uncontrollably stabbed her mother. Instead of proceeding with a second trial to establish her guilt or innocence, the court immediately accepted the clinical evidence and acquitted her of all charges, citing her mental illness. District Attorney George, who was previously certain of Isabella's innocence, confidently stated that she was incapable of making a different decision given the severity of her schizophrenia, paranoid delusions, and audible negative hallucinations.

During her hearing, Isabella Guzman initially appeared lighthearted, smiling and making faces at the courtroom camera. A video created by a person on Tik Tok captured her entrance into the courtroom, where she sat down and briefly glanced at the news camera before cynically smiling and then frowning. The video quickly gained popularity, leading many people to believe in Isabella's innocence due to her seemingly sweet and innocent demeanor.
