Want of a man
Don’t think of it as having high standards. But I have ideas on what I want in a partner. ~~~~~><~~><~~><~~~~~ For a man, I want him to be tall. I want a man who glances down at me and sees someone who is worthy of receiving love. When he peers into my hazel eyes, he sees a woman who will stay by his side, no matter the toils and issues. He looks down, and he sees a woman who will never stray, never tries and make him feel worthless, and loves him for his being.

Happy Birthday to me
Today is my birthday! Reflecting on my last year and all the years that brought me here is a trip! Day 3 reflection I mostly knew chocolate in the form of candy bars and syrups commercially. I remember learning about the Aztecs and how they drank chocolate every day, with chiles, and thinking that it sounded like heaven. Of course, their chocolate must have been so rich and complex, while ours is refined and overly processed. I remember my first sip of ceremonial cacao and it being a bit bitter and adding so much sugar (I am sad to admit!) In later years, I'd grow to like the bitter taste of pure dark chocolate, and I haven't returned to ceremonial cacao. As I await my shipment from Ora, I am so excited to try this drink once again. To deepen my understanding of the flavors and profiles in cacao, I had the most alarming understanding today… there is chocolate in quite a bit I eat, and I haven't eradicated it all just yet. So, while I continue this process, I will slowly remove those chocolates I had not realized were only adding to the problem of destroying the cacao industry! Being more intentional about what we consume is essential, and this has only solidified that idea for me.

Setting the angel free
Identity is a strange concept, one that is heavily debated, as if the right answer lies just out of reach. Is it a fluid notion? Are we the choices we make? Are we made up of the things we love? Or is our identity like our safe haven. A home, buried deep within, a place of refuge, that no matter where life takes us, we revert back to, for self preservation.

The Ups And Downs Of The Unconscious. Top Story - December 2023.
My life could be perfect material for a crime story. I was born and severely abused by people who were supposed to protect me from the dangers of this world. And although they protected me physically (as outwardly perfect parents) by providing me with food and shelter, there was also physical and mental abuse ruining it all. See where I'm coming from?

As Told By: I’m A Mean Girl and I Hate Myself For it.
I have the self-awareness to admit that I’m a mean girl just like the great Regina George said, “At least I know I’m mean.” I guess I have the morality to admit to myself that it doesn’t make me feel good, but I keep doing it. I guess there is a part of me that wants to stop but I can’t.

Story Time
I drive furniture for a living. At the motor depot, our delivery firm hires a parking spot for its vehicles. An ancient, still-Soviet vehicle depot, but without the overgrown weeds and piles of abandoned machinery that would normally be there, everything is in perfect order: the area is kept up, the repair area is spotless, and the cars are all driven precisely in a single line. Vans have their own space; there are only truck cranes and dump trucks. And Uncle Oleg, an elderly mechanic who has led this base's column since the 1970s, oversees the whole family. And everything is done with deference to him, which makes sense; there's a rationale behind it. One day during my first week of work, I was so eager to go home that I parked my vehicle a little bit further out rather than in a row. When the skilled driver saw this, he came over. You would level up, friend. You have your tail jutting into the driveway, notice? Indeed, it's rather typical. There is sufficient space for everyone.

Move Over Holly, Hanukkah is Here. Top Story - December 2023.
Oh look, it's December! That means it's Chris-HANUKKAH season! That's right, it's time for the Festival of Lights and lots of jelly doughnuts. We'll light some candles, sing some songs, and fill our bellies with fried food. Do you know why?
