So, how hard can it be?
Write 100 things in 20 minutes. This is Judey's challenge, but I want to give it a shot. Call me crazy!
Ready, set.....go!
- I don't know what to write
- a blank came on me, then!
- I think it's more scary than I thought!
- I love dogs
- Dogs are best
- or horses? Not sure
- I believe that beliefs are the force of us
- I think we need to change our beliefs to change our lives,
- I think we have beliefs from when we were young, and this shapes us
- they don't necessarily need to though
- with hard work, we can change them
- I have just realized that I might not have numbered these
- but I am going to go as hard as I can and get this done
- Paul built an enclosure for the pups
- we sat in the sun, watching them play
- it was a great way to spend a warm afternoon
- My mum is sulking with me
- I called her out on smacking her pup
- she is a rescue dog called Betsy
- She is a Jack Russell
- I had a Jack Russell before; her name was Judy
- I wrote about her
- I just remembered that
- She was truly my heart dog
- I loved her so much
- My dog is loyal, Mick
- He is a good boy, but it's not the same
- He has different qualities that I love
- Talking of qualities
- My younger son has good qualities
- sadly though, he is much like his mother
- which means he can be a bit arrogant and
- he believes that he is right
- and he knows almost everything because he is 16
- I have to go to therapy next week
- I have a new therapist
- well, I have had her for about 6 months or maybe 9
- she is very good, we do CBT work mostly
- reframing, she calls it
- it is working
- I had a different therapist before
- it was like talking with my favourite aunty every week
- except it cost a few quid
- this one is on the NHS, not private
- But she is excellent.
- I hope to get a few more sessions with her because that isn't guaranteed
- But I hope because we are making good progress.
- oh dear, I am nearly halfway
- and this doesn't feel like 50 things
- but I will continue; I hope it isn't too boring
- I bought some good books lately
- One is by Alexandria Stanwyck
- she writes here,
- she is great - her book is called "instead of therapy"
- and I have got a lot out of it
- and the other book is by Harmony Kent, and it's about prose, Polishing your Prose
- is the name of it
- I will have to sort out the spelling of some of these; it's dreadful
- Not the books; they were fine
- but this writing which is full of those red lines
- You know, the ones you get from Grammarly and Word documents
- telling you off for your errors
- oh, my time is going to beat me, I believe
- anyway, I have a sister called Becci
- I don't speak to her, or rather, she doesn't speak to me
- we have a difference in beliefs
- but I still really love her
- Grammarly doesn't like the word really
- but I do
- Anyway, Becci is brilliant
- she is one of those who should have been a stand-up comedian
- she would deal so well with hecklers
- she is super quick-witted
- I love her
- and one day, she painted her dogs toenails to match her own
- she loves to dance
- she paid the taxi driver to come into her house and take her shoes off for her
- because she was so tired from dancing the night away
- one time she wanted these boots
- they were from John Lewis
- They didn't have them in her size in London
- But they did in Glasgow
- so she flew up to Glasgow and picked up a pair there
- Slept the night at my brothers
- and then flew home again
- she still got them reduced even after flights
- oh my, it's quite tiring trying to write and write
- without stopping
- in hopes of writing 100 things in 20 minutes
- So there you are
- my family, Rachel with the twins
- Dominic, who is very successful
- Becci, who is also successful
- and me
- I am psychologically successful not so much in the normal way
- well, it wouldn't be me to be normal
- If my dreams came true, I'd have a horse
- Not to ride (too fat)
- but to groom and care for and watch and draw
- I love them so much
- I have thought about a companion horse, perhaps too old to ride
- so I can look after them and love them
- or two little shetlands to walk up the road
- I guess I am a little crazy
- But you know, who needs normal?
- Normal is a bit boring to me.
- I write stuff
- not always good
- but ok
- getting there
- It's good to improve
- and surely this needs some improving!

So glad Paul shared this one with me! It's grand!
Cool vibes, I think that I will try it. I think that many will write of horses.
Yay - you smashed this and I loved the way your thoughts took you to places I kinda thought it would. family, kids and horses! :) Well done, babe! This was a fun and insightful read!
Becci actually paid a taxi driver to come inside and take off her shoes for her?! Lol! That's crazy and hilarious!
Yay. You did it! I was 4 minutes late with mine. Oh well. Great job.
Ahhh I adore horses too! I don’t even want one to ride anymore though, just to look at and groom and walk around with haha. Maybe to draw, that would be a fun challenge 🥰
