10 of the Strangest Things People Are Addicted To

Addiction is the obsessive need to carry on doing something despite the potential consequences. Every person is different, with their own preferences and dreams. Some people enjoy travelling, while others prefer to stay at home. We learn to get along through our likes and dislikes, regardless of whether we are introverts, extroverts, or somewhere in between. People have been known to become addicted to substances like narcotics, coffee, or even social media. However, you may tell someone about your daily need on coffee and it won't come out as embarrassing. Just picture meeting someone who claims to be addicted to drinking their own urine. Or another who would rather eat a piece of their brick wall than a pizza topped with pineapples grown on their lanai. Yes, these are the bizarre addictions that people have all across the world. Here is a list of some of the most bizarre substances to which people have become dependent.

10 Drinking Nail Polish

Drinking nail polish is as weird as it gets in a world full of drinks and libations! As absurd as it may seem, some people have come forward to admit that they adore drinking nail polish, each for a different reason. For instance, Bertha quenches her thirst with roughly five bottles of nail polish every day rather than water or a milkshake. Others have remarked that the sensation they get in their throats after drinking nail paint is similar to that of warm milk, and they enjoy the habit. Another YouTube clip maker, Allison, claims she has a drinking problem with nail paint and stain remover. She regularly consumes seven gallons of alcohol and has no plans to stop; of course, she has become addicted to the habit. As you are surely aware, nail paint contains harmful substances and should not be consumed by humans.

And certainly, some individuals require a bucket of ice cubes in order to function. This behavior, which is typically linked to iron deficiency anemia, has a number of negative repercussions. When a patient known only as a "Ice Eater" visited her doctor, she complained of stomach ache. Her doctor examined her and found that she was anemic, and such people frequently crave ice cubes. Although there is a medical/scientific rationale for this addiction, it is odd that so few people are affected by it.
