After wins against West Ham, Crystal Palace, Brighton and Leicester City, Liverpool are actually off to the best start they've ever had to a Premier League season, much to the shock to many football fans around the world. The 2018/2019 season got off to a flyer for Liverpool, with a 4-0 routing of West Ham, before being followed with a 2-0 away win at Selhurst Park. A 1-0 win at home against Brighton, thanks to a Mohammed Salah goal, proceeded the record-securing game, a 2-1 win against Leicester City.
Potential PuntsPublished 5 years ago in Cleats"Can We Join You Guys?"
Soccer, the most beautiful sport in the world, has gained an outstanding popularity here in the US over the last decade. It's also one of the simplest, yet, most complex sports known to athletes. It only consists of a ball, a goal, and the willpower to improve. Over the past few weeks, I've been hearing the statement, "Soccer is a rich, white kid sport." Me being an African-American who enjoys playing soccer, can both, support and combat this statement.

The 2017–2018 Premier League season was, well, boring. Manchester City had the league essentially won by Halloween, sapping the world's biggest league of a climactic title fight. Hopefully, this season will be different and City will only win the league by ten points.
Nick RackleyPublished 5 years ago in CleatsFuture of Juventus FC
Today, Juventus are taking on Benfica in the International Champions Cup. Fans will probably neither witness the eagerly awaited debut of Cristiano Ronaldo in the white and black shirt, nor will they see the top players of the club perform, but Juventus will be a team any neutral soccer supporter must follow in the upcoming season.

Brad GouldPublished 5 years ago in CleatsChristian Pulisic: The Next-in-Line?
When you consider the footballers that have graced the US Men’s National Team in recent years, their star players have rarely stood out anywhere other than in the US. The likes of Clint Dempsey, Jozy Altidore, Freddy Adu, Jermain Jones, etc., graced European football, and whilst all of them were seen as the best the US has to offer, none of them set the world alight.
Jack DixonPublished 5 years ago in Cleats2018 World Cup Group Stage Rundown: Group E
Group E was a stubborn group. Brazil, like many predicted, finished top of the group. Switzerland finished in second place and Serbia in third, following Serbia’s 2-0 loss to Brazil in the group finale. Costa Rica, 2014 dark horses and quarterfinalists, finished in last place and return home humiliated.
Alberto HuichapaPublished 5 years ago in Cleats4 Signs That Point to Soccer's Continued Growth in the United States
With news breaking that 2018 World Cup TV rankings in the United States have dropped as much as 44 percent since the 2014 World Cup, it would be reasonable to conclude that soccer may not be on the rise as was once believed. What this number doesn’t take into account is the fact that Brazil, the host country of 2014, is in a much more similar time zone to the United States than Russia, this year's host. More obviously, in 2014 the USMNT not only was in the tournament but was highly competitive, making it out of the group stage. Ultimately, the TV ratings shouldn’t be considered a major factor towards soccer’s growth in the US. Instead, what should be considered are these four signs that point toward substantial growth for soccer moving forward.
Robert BernsteinPublished 5 years ago in CleatsBest Soccer Warm Ups You Should Be Doing
The guy I've been seeing, Devon Thomas, has been coming to all my games. He brings a bottle of champagne to drink afterward. He always comes up with a reason to celebrate. He's a sweetheart. He asked me, "How do you crush it so hard during your games?" I laughed, and told him it's because, "I do the best core exercises for soccer players and I know the best motivational soccer quotes to remember before a game." Of course, what was funny was that I answered his question right while doing the best soccer warm ups.
Chica ReyassPublished 5 years ago in CleatsRussia 2018
We are days away from the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Days away from the tournament that will pit the 32 best teams in the world on one stage competing for soccer hegemony. The stars have aligned and will be on the pitch for competition in the forms of Neymar, Messi, and Ronaldo. The trio of superstars look to provide a spectacle for all to see carrying their respective national team’s flag in hopes of capturing the most coveted prize as the world’s best. In lieu of that pursuit, the politics of sport have taken hold of this prestigious tournament. The setting and the timing of the event look to make this years’ competition one of the most politicized sporting events in decades. Russia as the host city in conjunction with the United States involvement in the bidding for the 2026 World Cup have made this years’ tournament particularly interesting.
Kyle Jordan FergusonPublished 5 years ago in Cleats10 Best Soccer Blogs Every Fan Should Follow
I haven't always been into soccer. I grew up watching baseball with my dad, and was a die-hard Yankees fan for a long time. He was never really into soccer, so I didn't care about it much. Once I got into high school though, I had a lot of friends who were really into the game and so, like any impressionable teenager, I got into it too. I'm glad I did though, because now I'm a huge fan of the sport.
