"You're not an England fan and we don't want you." Those are the words from England captain Harry Kane after members of the England football team were subjected to racist abuse on social media following the team's defeat at the hands of Italy in the Euro 2020 final. Both sides played out 1-1 draw in normal time with Luke Shaw scoring for England in the early stages of the game. This was however cancelled out when Italy equalised in the second half with a goal from Bonucci, so the match had to go to extra time and eventually penalties.

On Thursday the European football's governing body UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings against England over a laser pen used to illuminate a Danish goalkeeper at the crucial moment of the Euro 2020 semi-final. UEFA charged the English Football Association with three offences following their European Championship semi-final win over Denmark.

A Walk Down Memory Lane
A late summer's morning with no plans other than to play soccer. The sound of grass being cut and the smell that came with it gave you a constant reminder of what a fantastic day this was destined to be. A short walk up that street was the only thing standing in the way between me and the perfect green turf field. That was if I could ever get passed that crosswalk. The sign with white symbols on a blue background was clear for drivers to see, yet no one hardly ever stopped.
