Torrance “Squallé” Wilcher, community advocate and hip-hop artist, was born and raised in the greater Atlanta area. No stranger to a “less than perfect” childhood, he decided to make the best of his situation by attending college. A proud HBCU alum, Squallé moved to Alabama to pursue his degree in Engineering at Alabama State University. After moving back home following the completion of his degree, Squallé noticed the class allegory in his city and sought out to help in any way he could. More specifically, he saw the absence of strong black male figures in the lives of the local children. He paired with the local school systems and other organizations and thus gave birth to The League of Step. The goal of this organization was to serve the local schools and neighborhoods by acting as a mentor to the youth in the area and providing them with a strong male presence. Since its founding in Squallé has had success in mentoring over 60 kids by providing them with an outlet of expression through the world of step and has added to the growing music scene in a disruptive and inspiring way.

Zoë Evans, is a San Diego born singer songwriter, who has been making music her whole life. Her father taught her to play the piano at the age of 3, and, to no one's surprise, she released her first album at the age of 15. Fast forward and music fans have come to know ... Zoë Evans appreciates deep, soulful music with some of her greatest influences being Lauryn Hill, John Legend and Dua Lipa. This is evident, when listening to her music, as it translates into her songs. Zoë writes from the heart, pouring her life and emotions into her lyrics. Her music is moving and catchy and Zoë herself seems relatable in a very authentic way. For Zoë, music is a true passion. Zoë Evans’ 2018 single, Again (the song that made me a FAN) has been played well over 100,000 times on Spotify and received radio play in both Europe and the USA. It’s catchy hook caught people’s attention and left many excited to see what she’d do next. By the end of 2019 we got to hear what she had been working on. She released her single Falling Apart. Fast forward yet again ... On October 12th 2020, Zoë Evans, will release a new EP, Let's Go. From pop/rock vibes to hip-hop/R&B, this EP covers a wide range of genres, while still maintaining a unique vibe throughout. Let's Go includes a feature from artist Y.S. on the track, Who It Is. While writing the EP, Zoë wanted the perfect vibe for the listener to be able to take a drive and just cruise to it and get lost in the music. Being that we are in such a wild scenario currently with Covid-19, Zoë wanted her listeners to hear something uplifting, inspiring and relatable. Let me - let you - in on a little secret. I have been honored with a sneak-peek of Let's Go and can attest ..... Zoë's listeners will hear something uplifting, inspiring and relatable.
mysoundMusicPublished 4 years ago in BeatJAJ—Chicago’s Next Big Rap Star?
JAJ is an American music artist and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. What makes you different? As an artist, my unique way of putting words together separates me from other rappers in Chicago. No matter what track you listen to by me, it’s going to make sense. My music appeals to young & old listeners because my flow is versatile, and my songs have substance. Growing up being around older people contributes to the old soul I have at this young age. Going thru tough trials and tribulations through my adolescence forced me to grow up faster than most of my peers. Especially being from Chicago, the average kid faces hardships and traumatizing events most youths don’t experience. I find it difficult to go in the booth and rap about random topics that never occurred in my life before, everything with me is authentic. I use rap to express myself and speak about the things I’m going through and what I’ve been through, in my own way. I don’t focus on being a better rapper than others; No one can tell my story better than me because I’m the one walking in these shoes every day. If you a real one, you’ll feel me.
