Amanda GabriellePublished 5 years ago in BeatWhy We Should All Stan Ariana Grande
Not only does Ariana find a way to intrigue us with a voice powerful enough to hypnotize us, she somehow always finds a way to pull at our heartstrings more and more each day. Along with singing, Ariana also uses her voice to speak out against discrimination, to appreciate culture, and to speak about topics (such as LGBTQ and mental health) many people in our society today tend to dismiss.

Eminem has been controversial for his entire career, but now he's making news by doing things that Republicans don't like. Which is, sort of, different? Revival has been pretty unpopular with Eminem fans, and most hip hop fans, too. And yes, it's definitely not his best album, at all. Like I'd say it's one of the worst. But nothing could beat Relapse, maybe, probably, I guess, we'll see.
The Stories of Pedro the Lion
After 15 years, Pedro the Lion has been reborn and in more ways than one. A Phoenix represents the rebirth of a magical bird, while Phoenix represents the reuniting forces of Pedro the Lion with their musical mixture of indie rock and their narrative subjects that are filled with political and religious overlay. Phoenix dives into a whole new series of raw stories that emerged after a trip back home. These stories will tug down your heart strings while your own experiences come along for the ride on the back of the guitar strings.
Karen RakowiczPublished 5 years ago in BeatWhat The F*ck Is Wrong With Country Music?
Guitar, pedal steel guitar, banjo, bass, drums, and piano. All these instruments are associated with one genre–Country. Now, what’s country music nowadays? As far as I’m concerned, it’s nowhere near “country,” it is rather pop–pop with bro-kinda lyrics to be precise, which is quite challenging to consider “country.” The issue of country music not sounding country enough has been around for nearly a decade now. While there are pretty cool genre cross-over records such as Golden Hours by Kacey Musgraves, Hero by Maren Morris, and Folk Hop N’ Roll by Judah and the Lion, there’s a fine line between being respectfully creative, and carelessly bending the genre.
Luigi K.D.CruzPublished 5 years ago in BeatDive Back into the 90s with the Offspring
Who doesn’t love to hear the nostalgic rhythm of the drums with the increasing guitar and bass riff that represents the punk era of the 90s? There are certain songs that when you hear it, you can remember a particular moment in time and space that is embedded in your memory that you totally forgot you even had that experience. "Gotta Get Away" is a nostalgic song for many age groups, including myself, a 20 year old female who grew up with a twin brother who loved all things music. This song brings me back to mp3 players with my next door neighbour but also to my first touch screen cell-phone, where I continued to listen and cherish artists of the punk rock genre.
Karen RakowiczPublished 5 years ago in Beat"I Love You Will You Marry Me?" by Yungblud Is Iconic, But Why?
YUNGBLUD, although many fans would say otherwise, is a band with three (3) members! The most well known, of course, is Dominic Harrison, the lead singer. The lesser known (but still greatly appreciated) members are drummer, Michael Rennie, and guitarist, Adam Warrington. While the three of them tour together, make all of their music together, and write all of their songs together, this article will focus on one song in particular that has a certain heartbreaking.
Comeback Needs to Be Retired
"This is for the best, my reputation has never been worse..." Taylor Swift croons on her hit single "Delicate." This is not a true statement, much like Mickey Mouse, Swift seems immune to any kind of scandal or bad press. In fact, the entire Reputation album seems to be a way for her to convince people that she isn't the master manipulator behind these scandals, as she has been accused of, rather once again she is the victim. Even as she embraced the bad girl persona. And while the CD is not best selling in Swift's arsenal and had fewer hit singles than say her 1989 album, it did decent enough and the accompanying tour proved she is a superstar to be reckoned with. So then why are so many outlets calling her new single "ME!" a comeback? Mostly because that word is overused at this point and no one seems to know what it actually means anymore.

Luigi K.D.CruzPublished 5 years ago in BeatTwice "FANCY" MV Review
I’m not gonna lie: upon my first listen to this song, I was not a fan. Being one who has a bit of trouble stepping into the turbulent waters of girl k-pop idol groups (essentially resisting it if at all possible), I have been fairly tentative with Twice from the very beginning. Their early work was not impressive to me at first. It just sounded like over-produced, super sweet, bubble-gum pop—and that’s something I’ve never been a big fan of, no matter what music I’m listening to.
The Most Romantic Playlist of the 21st Century
Oh, those romantic songs, the inseparable part of pop culture. Sometimes they are cheesy, and sometimes they are heartbreaking. Some of them are closer to feel-good songs, while others are so dramatic that you get the feeling that composers created a musical equivalent of tear gas. With thousands of dating sites, you may get confused with the topics to discuss when you meet girls online. While it's highly unlikely that you are going to discuss your musical preferences on the sites designed for hook-ups, this topic is still quite popular when you are getting to know each other better online. So, are there any special songs that you have to know? Of course, you can always count on your own musical taste, but if you want to impress your online date-mate, we've concluded the list of the most romantic songs of the 21st century that can easily make you stand-out among other online-daters. Mind that some of the choices may seem weird, but a pinch of oddity never killed anybody.
