A Spookalicious Soundtrack
Music is my favorite way to connect with the world. Everything I do has a soundtrack. Reading a classic? Orchestral music is playing in the background. Doing calculus homework? Listening to 2000s punk rock helps redirect my anger and frustration. Feeling a little sad? Put some Christmas music on to lighten the mood. Even if I’m not actively doing anything, there is almost always a song playing through my head at any given moment.

Have a Hardcore Halloween
For as long as I can remember: Halloween has/is/ and will always be hands down my favorite holiday and in general favorite time of the year. From the costumes, music, parties, cool/cold weather, and the spooky atmosphere I love everything Halloween has to offer. Shame it only comes around once a year. Now we all know the classics for this time of the year. Songs like: Monster Mash, Thriller, This is Halloween, I put a spell on you, etc are all classics. I love them all, however I already know they're going to be discussed to death in general let alone for this challenge. So I decided why not throw in my own choices for songs that can easily become classics give the chance. As always in no particular order.

Songs for Spooky Season
I love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday. I always go all out on my costumes, spending hours hot gluing, adding sequins, cutting fabric, you name it. I've dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein, a sparkling fairy princess, Twin Peaks' Laura Palmer, an astronaut, and even beloved icon The Babadook. I once spent 10 hours painting a giant canvas backdrop into a Pentagram design for a witchcraft-themed Halloween party, and I've strung enough spider webs to cover a whole graveyard. So yeah, I invest some time into Halloween y'all. (I can't wait to share what my costume is this year, but that's for a later story!)

Starting to Feel Like Halloween Again
As the sunny summer days make way for cool fall nights, there's a special time approaching: Halloween night! Now, Halloween isn't what it used to be: these days there aren't as many little witches and warlocks saying "Trick or Treat." We miss all the costumes and candy and sweets. The sounds of laughter as kids collected baskets of treats. It's true though, I know, the season is missing, that spark, that we are so used to feeling. We miss the haunted houses, parties and freights. Ghosts, ghouls and goblins are nowhere in sight. Yet, we swallow our sadness, and we put on a smile. We can celebrate safely until it's safe to run wild. Times have changed, it's plain to see; but how can we still feel Halloween? That's why I'm here, I wrote this to help. Halloween is too special not to be felt. So turn up your speakers, blast these songs as 11 and you'll start to feel it, it's not even a question.
