How to Make Sleep Restful in 2022
Sleep is an essential part of living, not only does it provide the body time to rest and recuperate after a long day of work, it also aids healthy digestion and allows for a time when the body can focus solely on detoxing. There have been studies that show it is helpful in maintaining a healthy body weight as well. Sleep is important to me, personally, because I receive messages for myself and for other people during my dreams. Lucid dreaming is one of my most powerful spiritual gifts. This is why (for me) it is so disturbing that I have been having problems getting a good nights sleep for ages. I know many people who struggle with insomnia and other sleeping disorders as well. I have come up with a short guide that will aid anybody in making their sleep more restful and 2022 is the perfect year to start! Here it is:

Woman at a Coffee Shop
I glance up to my right to look out of the window, the sound of a barking dog sounds way closer than the dog park at the other end of the coffee shop. I don't see any dogs directly outside of the window and I let my eyes wander back inside the building and skim over the couch area across from me. To my surprise, a woman looks up from the book she is reading and catches my gaze. It is only for a second but I feel a pang of familiarity, and she is beautiful. She is glowing, her skin looks like Agua de Tamarindo in the sunlight and her silky straight, black hair is pulled back into a high ponytail. Baby hairs frame her round-almond eyes; casually elegant. My eyes move away from hers, quickly but reluctantly, focusing back on the paper in front of me. Her eyes move away just as quickly, settling onto the page of the book in her hands.

True Colors
I am Latinx and White, a "mixed breed" with light skin, my skin tans easily in the sun. Having grown up in Southern California, playing and working outside, I grew up tanned most of the year, save a couple months when the weather got too cold for spaghetti straps and short shorts.
