The Great Gatsby
A classic American love story: Romantic love, platonic love, love of money, love of booze, love of life, and so much more; The American Dream encapsulated by a beautifully poignant tragedy. It's a tale we've all heard, presented in a way that leaves you reeling, but coming back for more.
Man's Best Friend
[[ Author's Note: I am using the term “Man” in the collective sense, as in humankind in its entirety; I do not mean to exclude anyone of any gender or any characteristic, only to fit my writing to the theme of the work & corresponding contest. Because this is a ancient myth interpretation, I chose to use slightly more archaic terms in places where I feel it flows better. I am a proud Ally and human, first and foremost, and nothing in this work is meant to demean, marginalize, or offend anyone – only to provoke thought and bring light and inspiration to the increasingly dark world we live in. Thank you for reading and enjoy! ]]
One Last Ride
He came to consciousness gradually, like he was fading in and out of a dream that didn’t want to end. The first sound that came to ear was a rhythmic beat, one that he thought was a heart, until he caught the distinct metal clang and the unforgettable chugging of a locomotive. When he opened his eyes, the cabin was dim; Faded red, almost pink curtains tinted the sunlight a comforting hue, the muted sunlight giving his skin fleeting hints of warmth.

Making Fabric from MetalTop Story - January 2022
In medieval and ancient times, almost everything was either made by hand or with a limited amount of hand tools and pure elbow grease(this is fairly obvious, upon retrospect, since they used to call it the dark ages). From furniture to fabrics, carpentry to metalworking, laborers and skilled artisans alike had no electricity nor any advanced machinery to help them create their vision.
Carer of the Bells
Carer of the Bells I live in the church tower - in a small room just below the gigantic brass bell that everybody knows. Very few of them know me, but they all know that I exist - I have to, otherwise the bell would never ring. My home has a bed, a table and comfortable, if old chair, an oil lamp, and a few bookshelves. Most of the books are religious, but I do have some learned and nonfiction books. Bound in leather, regularly cleaned of dust and mites, they've been my most steadfast companions since the position of church caretaker was bestowed upon me.
How to Make Yarn from Plastic

It’s easily available (since it's made from plastic bags) and made quickly with just a few steps in a couple of different methods and can be used to make all sorts of useful things or cool decorations. People online have created bags, laundry baskets, purses, placemats or wall tapestries, and more!
