The Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum is said to be one of the scariest places in West Virginia. The facility opened in 1864 on a sprawling 666 acres of land. The Gothic and Tudor architecture makes the Asylum look ominous and foreboding, but the real horrors didn't begin immediately.

I should clarify that sobriety (for me) is no alcohol, as everyone’s idea of sobriety is different. Alcohol, to me, is the most toxic substance, along with sugar you can consume, and both, of course legal.

Man electrocuted after jumping into haunted Lake Lanier
On Thursday afternoon Thomas Milner, 24, jumped into Lake Lanier from his family's dock near Lanier Beach South Road. It was reported he was seen jumping into the lake by a family friend, and when he did not emerge, he went and tried to pull Milner out of the water using a ladder and was unsuccessful.
