THE ATTACK OF THE BEAVER AT THE LAKE
It was the beginning of summer and we decided to go to Nancy Lake and fish for Rainbow Trout and Pike. I called my daughter on the phone I asked her if she wanted to come. She said yes, I told her we would leave the next day. As I was getting ready I noticed that we did not have enough bait. So I called my husband to pick some up. He told me he would get some worms and not to worry. I do worry a little bit because if we forget something there is no way we can get the item. Well, I would get everything we needed. All my husband has to do is put the gear into the car. In the meantime, my daughter is getting her things together. My husband came home and we had dinner then he put some things in the car. I asked him if he had gotten the bate. He said he did and I said besides the worms did you get the eggs. He told me he did I said to him great! The next morning we ate breakfast and then finished putting everything in the car. I called my daughter and told her we will be picking her up. When we arrived at her home she came to the car and put her things in the car. My husband drove to the highway and he had to drive about an hour to Nancy Lake campground.

I LOVED TO HEAR NEIL DIAMOND SING
I was twenty years old when I first heard Neil Diamond sing. He was singing and playing the guitar, and the song turned out to be number one! He is a great singer and he knew his instruments. He played several instruments, he also had a movie out and of course, I had to watch it. The movie was about a singer struggling to make it big! In the movie, he sang Coming To America. I loved hearing the song and I thought to myself what if I am having a crush on him! I wanted to buy his new song but it was not out in public yet! I was very sad I could not buy his record I had to wait until the record was released. In the meantime, I would listen to Neil on the radio. As I was listening and hoping his new album would be released soon.

I WAS IN LOVE WITH THE KING
It was a long time ago, I can still remember seeing Elvis on the television. I remember sitting in the living room and watching the Ed Sullivan show. When Ed Sullivan introduced Elvis to the world! I watched him, and at that time I wished I was seated at the Ed Sullivan show. Elvis was singing and playing the guitar. He was shaking his body with the rhythm singing That's All Right Ma Ma! Then as soon as it started the gig was over with. I wanted to watch him more but Ed Sullivan put someone else on his show. I was hoping Elvis would sing again but it was not to be. I told my Mom I wanted the record Elvis sang and I loved seeing him play. I was a young teenager, I had a boyfriend and both of us loved to dance. We went to all the school dances, and when we danced everyone watched us. I told my boyfriend about Elvis and told him I wanted his song. My boyfriend would do anything for me and I knew it! We went to the store but we did not find the record. I was greatly disappointed we could not find it. The next day I was listening to the radio when all of a sudden Elvises song played. My mom was in the other room and I called her. She came and listened to the song and she liked it. I asked her if she would buy the song for me but she did not have the extra money. I was on the lookout for the song I wanted it so bad!

WE WERE LOST AT POINT MCKENZIE
It was getting late and we were way behind schedule. My daughter called at the wrong time, but I talked to her anyway. I told her we are going to camp at Point Mckenzie to go fishing for Rainbow Trout. She said for us to have fun! I said we will but we need to get on the road soon! My husband wanted to get on the road as soon as possible. I had everything ready to go all I had to do was to put everything in the car. We were also taking Nicholas, was a white Toy Poodle. I picked him up and put him in the car. Nicholas loved to ride in the car. He also liked to go camping and fishing with us. Finally, we were on the road to Point Mckenzie, it was only one hour's drive. My husband drove onto Knik Road and on to Point Mckenzie and then to the lake. I looked for Moose but I did not see a one. We finally reached our destination, and we found a great spot to camp. After we put the tent up and the tarp he built a fire so we could have a cup of coffee. After the coffee was done, we sat drinking it and it was so good! Nicholas loved to lay on my lap and he liked sleeping on the foam mattress in the tent. I put my dog Nicholas into the tent and he made himself comfortable. I had my coffee and a snack and was talking to my husband. My husband said to me he wanted to go fishing. I told him o.k but not to stay out too late! He left and I finished my coffee and I went into the tent to take a nap.

STUCK IN THE MUD
When my husband stated he wanted to go fishing at Bird Creek I was very optimistic! I told him it was very dangerous to fish there and I did not really want to! He explained that it would be fine but we have to fish at low tide. I said to him people die there they go out to the inlet at low tide and get stuck in the mud, the Bore tide comes in and they die! He said the fishing is great and he will get a tide book so we know when to leave. I thought about it and said I guess we can go if we know when to leave! He told me that I was brave and that he would not let anything happen to me! I told him that we have to get the fishing gear all ready to go. So we gathered everything we needed to go to Bird Creek, and put it in the car. Then we went to the store to get a tide book and bought other items that we needed. When we arrived home we put the items away. We also bought some fishing stuff and I put them in the car. After the trip to the store, I was tired so I sat down and had a cup of coffee. I made sure we had everything we needed by making a list so I can take inventory and mark them off. As I did that we forgot an item and I went to retrieve it. In the meantime, my husband was busy with the fishing hooks, he made sure we had everything.

THE TALKEETNA SCARE
It was July and a very nice day so we decided to go camping and fishing in Talkeetna Alaska! I called my daughter and asked her if she and her daughter wanted to come with us! She said she would love to come, I told her to gather her things and we will be there in about two hours! I gathered all the camping and fishing gear and food. My husband put all the items in the car and we took our dog Nicholas, a toy poodle with us. I called my daughter and told her we were on the way to pick her and her daughter up. I had an SUV so everything fit in the car with room to spare! We drove to her home in Big Lake and I went to get them. They put their things in the car and we drove to the high way. It was sunny and beautiful out we all were talking and having a good time! I told my daughter to watch for Moose there are many moose and bears in Alaska! Especially when you go up north to Talkeetna! In the back seat were my grandaughter and my toy poodle. It was a three-hour drive to go camping to Talkeetna. We were going fishing for Rainbow Trout they are the best fish cooked over the fire! We went past Montanana Creek and had another hour of driving left! On the way, we stopped for a snack and I walked the dog so he can go to the bathroom! After we were on the road again we had an hour to go to the campground! Wow, we finally were there, we found a nice spot and parked the car.
