One cop show after another
Cop shows. I grew up on cop shows. From Hill Street Blues to NYPD Blue, I loved them! I couldn’t get enough of them. Although Hill Street Blues was a really good show, I must say that there are some amazing cop shows that have happened in the last few years.

Let's talk Scandinavian Thrillers
I wanted to talk about Scandinavian shows today. I admit I am biased, as I am half Swedish and I love watching shows where I might get a chance to listen to spoken Swedish as I don’t actually have much of a chance to listen to it (living in Toronto and all). However, the shows I will be discussing today are not all Swedish, only one is, and that one it’s actually a collaboration between Sweden and Denmark.

Eight sisters swimming together in the Atlantic
Somewhere on the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa (West of Morocco), eight beautiful sisters are found bathing in the Atlantic’s crisp waters. They lie there, peacefully, unaffected by what goes on in the world, enjoying their symbiotic relationship with the ocean that lovingly caresses their bodies. These beautiful pieces of land, each with her own unique personality and beautiful traits, are known as the Canary Islands.

Extraordinary Events
It’s pretty strange how two events that are polar opposites, which are both unusual and unlikely to occur, can happen in one day and cause such a stir of emotions that can pull one in so many directions. One year ago today was such a day. It was the day where I came by twenty-thousand dollars and also the day my mom disappeared. In my heart, I feel these events are connected, but I have never been able to explain them to anyone or even make sense of them myself.

Magic Sketches
“Ugh! I just want things to be different.” She complained. “No matter what I do, things just seem to stay static.” She looked at her watch, it was almost ten in the morning. She was due for work late in the afternoon, but she was starting to feel drained and fed up. She tried hard to be grateful but, at thirty-five, her life was not what she had envisioned when she was twenty, and she was ashamed that she hadn’t achieved more, or gotten more successful by now. She lived in a small apartment, so small that her toilet, bathroom sink, and shower booth were almost three pieces in one. She tried to figure out where she’d gone wrong. ‘Study, get a degree, and your life will be set.’ She’d heard all her life. Well, a degree and a Master's hadn’t helped her with that. She was missing another piece of the puzzle and she didn’t know how to find it. In other words, she felt utterly stuck.

Unwelcome guest
“Knock, knock.” Someone’s at the door… who could it be? I checked my watch, realizing how futile the action had been, considering I hadn’t expected anyone all day. And yet, here we were, someone knocking at my door and me hesitating whether or not to check who it was.

Traveling back in time to find love.
I gotta say, I have a bit of a binging addiction. Once I find a show that I like (sometimes even when I don’t like it), I’ll stay glued to the TV until there’s an ending. I have to say, though, one of my biggest pet-peeves is watching a show that ends a season in a cliff-hanger, especially if I have to wait a full damn year to watch what happens. But that time, I’ve watched so many other things in the meantime, read so many books, posts and whatnot, that I can’t even remember why I was so annoyed that it ended how it ended.

Reso... what?
I kicked resolutions in the ass many years ago. I kept on exploring changing this or changing that, only to fail miserably a few weeks later (if I even managed to last weeks and not days). No, resolutions seemed more like a made up marketing trick to get us to join gyms, eat certain foods, buy certain goods… just changing habits without actually believing that we were capable of change.

Question
Her head rested on his chest. They were both naked and sweaty after sharing their bodies with each other. She lay there, pensive; thinking about the answer to the question he had just asked. She didn’t really want to reply, but she knew she couldn’t hold quiet. He would get restless and ask her again. “What is it that you want?” He had inquired. A question in nature so simple... and yet, so damn difficult to answer...
