The Portsmouth Sinfonia
Introduction Sometime in the mid seventies, I started to appreciate classical music after being completely bored by it at school, then I heard "Mars" from "The Planets" by Gustav Holst on Alan Freeman's Saturday Afternoon Rock Show, and went out and bought the album. I knew Manfred Mann's Earthband had used a theme from "Jupiter" for their single "Joybringer" with permission from the Holst estate.

Introduction This is an experimental monologue. As I start, I am not sure that I can complete six hundred words for this story but this is the sort of challenge that I set myself. I hope to maybe surprise you a little and hope that you can keep with me to the end.

Big Brother
Introduction This is another interesting one from my Seven Days In blog that you can read here if you are so inclined. It deals with how our digital devices "spy" on us and then try and get us to buy things or provide information to the data collecting machines and agents.

The Joy Of The Pedant
Introduction During my time on Vocal many people have suggested why I have not even been placed in a challenge and therefore why I will never place in a challenge. I am not going to name anyone or what their suggestions are and were, but in my opinion, if these are the reasons then those reasons are extremely pedantic.

Walkin’ , Talkin’ and Writin’ on Vocal (Or Anywhere)
When I first started writing on Vocal I also picked up on using Google Docs because on my phone I can actually speak into it and capture what I'm saying while I'm walking and I thought that could be a very good idea.
