Why I No Longer Root for the Underdog
Finally! Super Bowl week is upon us. For millions of NFL football fans, this is a time to begin celebrating, what is easily, the biggest non-holiday event of the year. Because of Covid-19 it will look slightly different this year, but that will not dampen the mood one bit. However, for me one significant aspect of the game will change – I am no longer a huge advocate of the underdog. Yes, you read it correctly. I will no longer support the underdog like I used to. I have my reasons and I will get to them later on.

Five Minutes
She was always on my mind. I continuously thought about her. Not in a creepy way that says, “I’m going to scare her off” kind of way. But in a you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen type of feel. Let’s be realistic. This is likely being over dramatic, plus how can one decipher when they see that girl?

X-Men
In the mid-1990’s I was just a child in middle school who was still trying to define myself and figure out who I wanted to be. I liked playing basketball and football in the streets with my siblings and friends, and I was engrossed in video games at that time, probably a little bit too much. With all of that being said, my favorite activity at this time was to get home, sit in front of the television, and watch X-Men: The Animated Series (1992) after school. Every Monday through Friday it was the same thing: (1) Run home from the bus, (2) Throw my book bag on the floor, and (3) Get a snack and watch X-Men.

When Being A Creative Writer
When in the process of writing I always ask myself two questions. One, will anyone want to hear what I have to say? Two, am I even talented enough to share my work? These are valid questions to ask. There are so many talented writers and there is not a topic that has not already seemed to be covered in the world of writing.
