The Age of the Wide Receiver
Today’s NFL due to offensive friendly rules has become synonymous with record-breaking wide receivers. The talent in today's wide receivers has to make many people wonder every season, did we just watch the greatest receiving season ever? The 2021 regular season just ended, and we may be just witnessed the most electrifying rookie season by the Bengals Ja’Marr Chase who recorded 81 receptions for 1455 yards and 13 touchdowns. This included a stellar performance against the Chiefs in which he caught 11 passes for 266 yards (now an NFL single-game record) and 3 touchdowns.

The Drive
“This drive is going to be talked about [by Ravens fans] for a long long time.” Color commentator, Cris Collingsworth uttered these words minutes after wide receiver Torrey Smith hauled in a 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Flacco. The Baltimore Ravens would hold on to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-20. Leading to the Ravens' first season sweep of the Steelers, and eventually, their first AFC North title in five years.

Tecmo Super Bowl
The time is December 1991, and the video gaming sports world is about to be changed forever. Tecmo Super Bowl was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the United States, but nobody knew that it would become a cult classic that is still enjoyed today. Before Tecmo Super Bowl came out, sports games were unplayable. It was impossible to pass, run, maneuver around the field, or to even a complete a single play. Yet, the computer would effortlessly complete plays. The game was too difficult, thus making it unplayable.

Why do I Write?
I could not have told you when I was younger, but I like writing today because of the ability to tell stories. That comes across as simple enough, but I promise there is more to it. When I was in elementary school we were encouraged to read because we could go anywhere that our imaginations could take us. This was supposed to develop our curiosity and enhance our learning.

Attraction
Beauty is what everyone is after and what everyone wants. It makes life easier and more accessible. When one becomes beautiful options open up that they did not open up before, and do not open up for most regular people. One can receive endless amounts of attention from the opposite sex, which makes the decision making process for choosing a partner easier. One can friend zone at their leisure and be more selective of who one wants to be serious with. One’s smile can then be enough to make someone’s day, simply because a beautiful person acknowledged them.

Writing
During the summer of 2019 I began to write again. Largely fiction because you can do whatever you want in your world. There is something therapeutic and calming about that fact. No one can discourage you or tell you that what you are writing about is “stupid,” “silly,” or “unimportant.” Writing again became a passion when I took a creative writing class in my final semester of community college (spring 2019). When I was younger, I had always been loosely interested in writing, but I did not know enough about the basics to get started. After the completion of this class, I not only felt empowered to begin writing my own material, but I realized that it helped me in bringing out emotions that I had been suppressing for a long time. Therefore, I am not exaggerating when I say that writing has done so much for me, so I am forever grateful.

Illyana, Illyana
My name is Illyana Lewis and right now I am being castrated by my grandmother. I love her I really do, but today is not the time. I just lost my mother a week ago and I am still going through this nightmare. She was my best friend, my rock, and my emotional support. Now that she was gone I had no clue how I would make it. As of right now, it was not going well at all. My grandmother, who never agreed with my mother in how I was raised was very disappointed with me. She thought I should be doing more to find a suitable husband to help bring money in for this family. By now I was holding back tears, trying to give the impression that I was listening to her, but at the same time allowing everything she said to go in one ear and out the other.
