Myst Vantar
I have lived by a lake all my life. It's called Myst vatnar which means Myst lake in the Norse language. Apparently myst was a term for mystical or mystic long ago. At least that's what my father always told me. This lake was crystal clear all year long and even though we traveled occasionally and saw other lakes I never saw a lake so beautiful. Which is why every summer people from all over the world would come to vacation at it. You could swim, fish, and enjoy tanning on the lake or by it. But there was one rule that no matter what that seemed to always get broken. There were never to be more than five people in the lake at the same time.

Late Night Reflections
I sat straight up in my bed wondering what woke me and what time it was. I lean over in my bed finding my phone and hitting the power button. Dropping it when the light from a thousand mini suns hits my eyes causing me to jerk away. I curse silently to myself for my own stupidity now actually getting out of bed to find my phone. I finally manage to find it clicking the power button again this time facing the phone slightly away from me. I groan when I see the time, "Really two in the morning? And now I'm awake."

The Walkers
I'm sitting on the edge of a cliff. It's a truly beautiful day. The sky is a gorgeous azure blue without a cloud in sight. Below me is a sea of green as far as the eye can see. A true ocean of a forest that seems to go on forever. I hear footsteps behind me but before I have time to see who it is I get kicked off the cliff. I turn as I fall to see my mother's face twisted into an almost inhuman sneer, "Die you filthy beast!" She howls at me as I fall. I turn back around to stare at the forest canopy waiting to catch me. I find myself oddly at peace with this moment.

Dreamscape
The first time that I lucid dreamed I was 14. I "woke up" in the middle of a nightmare and shot a zombie in the head. It took me a little bit to realize what was happening but before the end of that first dream I was flying and shooting laser beams out of my eyes. When i actually woke up my heart was still racing from how real everything had been and felt. I went to school that day and told all my friends and one informed me about lucid dreaming. The way he talked about how difficult it was it seemed like I was a natural. That night when I went to bed I immediately started shifting my dream scape around me. Before I knew it I had built a full 1:1 replica of my favorite anime around myself. I know I'm a nerd trust me. Every night when I would go to sleep I would build whole worlds around myself for me to play in. It even got to the point where I could populate the world with other people. Most of the time they were just amalgamations of all the people I knew. I even used my lucid dreaming to do world building for me and my friends to pay tabletop games. I ended up always playing DM but that was fine because everyone would compliment me on how unique and detailed my games were. I would just give them a sly smile and tap my temple leaving them wondering how I came up with it all.
