Prophet of the Deep
I've been dreaming of water as of late. Rivers, oceans, and lakes of all shapes and sizes. That wouldn't be a problem except that in every dream something lives in the lake. Sometimes while horrifying to look at, the thing isn't that bad. Most of the time though they're both ugly and evil. I always wake up drenched in a cold sweat remembering names of the places I've been in the dreams. After the fourth dream I had gotten a journal and written a brief description of each creature and the name of each lake in it.

River of Purgatory
There's a storm raging outside. That's not all that uncommon since it is the rainy season but this one had been much fiercer than had been anticipated. By the time my family and I had realized that it was far too late to evacuate. We had broken down much of our furniture to barricade the windows as much as possible. We had also stacked our beds on top of one another and then climbed up so as to be as high as we could manage. Unfortunately none of it was enough. The water engulfed our home shattering the windows and barricades as if they were made of paper. The last thing I remembered was holding my family tight as the water swallowed us all.

Terror in the Chunnel
I was riding through the Chunnel by train going from London to Paris. This was my first time on the Chunnel and the only reason I was doing it was because I needed to get to Paris quickly. My boss was sending me over there to seal a business deal that would net us several million euros so this was top priority. Something about being one hundred and twenty feet underwater in a tunnel was just an unsettling idea. I know people use the Chunnel all the time and there has never been a problem but normally I figure don't test your own good luck.

Sleepy Alice
It's Halloween night at two in the morning. My friend and I were walking along Lake Timit going through the small amount of candy we managed to get. Suddenly Andrew stops and looks at me with a wide grin, "Hey have you heard the story about Sleepy Alice? The spirit that haunts this lake."

Decisions
I woke up floating in a small pool of water in the dark. Only my head and the very top of my skin are out of the water. I try to move, finding out quickly that I am paralyzed. My eyes flit back and forth seeing nothing in the darkness. After what seemed like a small eternity I call out, "Hello? Is anyone there?" All around me small points of light start to appear two at a time. Up higher and higher I can see more appearing.

Zombie Cruise
I've never cared for the water, not even as a baby. When my parents would try to bathe me I would scream something awful according to my mother. As I got older my dislike for water never really got better or worse but it was still there. I didn't do pools or water parks as a kid. I would sit off on the side, maybe put my feet in the water so I didn't look too weird. High school was also problematic because of the locker showers but I managed. However now I'm stuck on a cruise ship with my family in the middle of the ocean and I'll admit I'm panicking just a little.

Sword in the lake
It's a warm day in a forest in the British countryside. I was walking by a lake in the forest when I saw something sticking up out of the water shining ever so slightly. The water is muddy and full of seaweed looking tendrils. Quite disgusting really. Curiosity getting the better of me I reached out almost falling into the lake but managing to grab the item. I dredge it out from the lake slowly bit by bit seeing more and more of the item. The more I see the more confused I become. Only when I finally finish pulling it out do I see that it's a sword. I stare at it confused, "Who puts a sword in a lake?"

Steam Engine Steve
There once was a man who used to live in an abandoned derelict warehouse by a lake. He was what many called a mad scientist which is why he lived alone in the middle of nowhere. He had never been a good man but living alone had driven him to become more and more of a monster. He plotted day after day how to punish all the people who had cast him out. He would sit by the lake scowling and muttering to himself. Writing in journal after journal trying to come up with both a weapon and method of transportation to bring pain upon his enemies.

A demon for Halloween
Ask anyone who performs magic at any level and they'll tell you that water is a key component. Now in what manner depends on who you talk to. Some use it as a way to wipe away a spell, some use it to aid a spell, and others use it however they feel like in the moment. I'm a personal believer in using it in multiple ways which is why the evening before Halloween I'm using a lake to help my spell. What spell am I attempting you ask? Why I want to summon the nastiest thing I can find and use it in my haunted house!

Pool in the Desert
I've lived in the desert for a long time so the only time I see water is when the rains come. So you can imagine my surprise when I stepped out of my home one morning during the dry season to find a pool of water ten feet away from my front door. I knew there had no reason last night and yet right here in front of me was a pool of water. It didn't make any sense. My dog who had been behind me pushed his way past my legs to go jump in the pool and when he did he simply disappeared.

For the love of the SeaTop Story - October 2021
The ocean is my one love. Ever since I was a child every moment I could spend on the ocean was heaven on earth. It didn't matter if it was rain or shine. I loved the ocean all the time. I grew up on a small island in the southeast asian chain of islands. Growing up by the sea I think maybe had something to do with it. I could go there anytime I wanted and I did. I would watch with eager eyes when storms rolled in watching how it affected the ocean. So I personally find it ironic that a storm is what did me in.

Hunting Macaws in the night
Scarlet Macaws are beautiful creatures. Unfortunately due to our world losing it's wilderness their habitats are disappearing all over. But one place you can still find them is in the Amazon rainforest. I had met up with a small group of trackers earlier in the week who told me they had seen many Macaws near the Amazon river. They also warned me of the many dangers of the river. Between crocodiles, snakes, and carnivorous fish I would have my hands full. But none of that mattered if I could find the Scarlet Macaws.
