Abduction
I was sitting in my room, or cell, if you really want my opinion, writing in my journal. It was hard to write with the rubber ink pens the ward provided. Equally as hard, was writing anything involving any length. They are, after all, only four-inch pens so handwriting the Dead Sea Scrolls or telling my memoirs was an impossible goal to achieve. I could, however, I could write to myself or in the journal the ward provided all of the patients. This was my morning routine. Well, it would be my routine, after I do it for a while. I started working on this plan to fill my days while I suffered through the boredom of the weekend, anxiously awaiting my Monday session.

Are We Getting Closer To The Truth?
Being a bit of a sci-fi nerd after growing up in the age of Star Trek and Star Wars, among other fan favorites, I anxiously have awaited the true stories behind certain events in human history. Unfortunately, those events remain largely in the classified files or, if they made it to the notorious FBI Vault, are redacted, at times, so much that they can not be deciphered by normal everyday citizens. The why of it all is an intriguing question that people ponder as they look for answers. Journalists, researchers, politicians, and historians that have access to resources most of us don't have, file Freedom of Information Act requests and even lawsuits trying to force the information to come into the light of day. For most people, we have only our ability to read between the lines, local bar conspiracy theories to enjoy, and the hope that one day a president will see fit to declassify the truths past leadership deemed fit to hide from the taxpaying public.

Abduction
The buzzing at the door barely stirred Alex and I as we were still snuggled together on the oversized couch the grays had installed in our living assignment. I slowly began to open my eyes, not really wanting to get up, as Alexa's face was nuzzled against my chest. At eighteen I had never spent the night with a girl before and admittedly I didn't want it to end, nor did I want her to wake up and freak out that we had slept together like that. Unfortunately, it was destined to happen. The buzzing finally forcing me to slide my arm out from beneath my couch mate. As I crawled up and over her, Alexa stirring only slightly from my moving, I stumbled across the floor barefoot realizing how much I might miss carpeting if I don't get home.

Now Playing, Chaos Walking!
That's right, the Movie Theaters are open and there's actually something fun for everybody. It's been a rough year for Hollywood and the movies. Most movie fans have had to endure the constant barrage of repeats, rewatching old favorites, and the neverending list of postponed releases. Video rental stores closed down, Family Video closing their entire chain. But, there's finally hope on the horizon as the movie theaters slowly get back to normal, production on future works resumes, and a smattering of new release movies finally arrives in theaters. Chaos Walking is one of those much-needed escapes from our still dismal realities that the movies have to offer.

Abduction
My last session with Dr. Brenda occurred on Friday. The weekend was long and hard as I waited for Monday to roll around and hoped that she could bring me more answers. I struggled to remember what happened after we were all herded into the... I will call it the hangar bay for lack of any better description. The opening leading out of the bay looked like that of a large hangar and there was these craft, larger than a helicopter, and more metallic than most aircraft, that sat around in two lines. It looked like the upper deck of an aircraft carrier only we were definitely indoors.

Two Little Words
There are just those things that people are going to imagine doing without clothing and I say to them, kudos. It's the magic two words that can unleash a sense of freedom most puritanically raised people will never get to experience. Separately, they are a verb and an adjective in the English language. When you put them together, as long as it's not in a prison setting, they can make your day a whole lot more relaxing, entertaining, liberating, and just downright fun. I am referring to those two words we all love to hear even though we all don't feel comfortable doing, get naked.

Abduction
Only two days have passed as I wander around the common area, seeing the meatheads wasting time with the two nurses at the station. There's an ache in my legs that I am ignoring as I walk my usual path around the common area, only occasionally looking up at the television on the wall. Like everyone, I am in my hospital-style pants and scrub-style shirt. We stick out like sore thumbs, our patient uniforms being such a dim mix of blues and whites. It's almost farcical, how much this place reminds me of the stereotypical television show-styled mental ward. A few of the patients here still wear their robes, never taking them off as far as I can tell. Edward, the chess player, appears to sleep in his and then get directly back to chess after his morning coffee and bagel. None of us notice much about Edward, other than his dingy robe and the odor coming from it. I have long since grown accustomed to not seeing his morning coffee, his bagel or his chess partner. So have the rest of the staff and patients, so I'm not alone.

Abduction
My name is Stephen and I am in a mental ward because I disappeared off of the face of the earth a few weeks ago, or at least I think a few weeks ago, only to be found naked and cold as I wandered around an old field. Sure, I'm sorry for the shock that it must have caused Mrs. Davis, our postal lady. But it really wasn't my fault.

Why Wonderwoman Challenged Hollywood
As we get ready for the fabled Snyder Cut of Justice League, being released this month on HBO MAX, I can't help but wonder if it would have made a difference at the box office. I'm equally excited to see this new cut because the previews make it look like it will go places that the original theatrical release did not go. D.C. characters have a long and storied history, going back to the first appearance of Superman in Action Comics.

Exorcism Of Mother Theresa?
What is an exorcism? Exorcism defined is an adjuration addressed to evil spirits forcing them to abandon an object, place or person. Technically, a ceremony used in both Jewish and Christian Traditions to expel demons from people that have come under the power of the demon. The rites and rituals of preliterate people to ward off or to expel evil spirits are also a form of exorcism, though they are sometimes considered witchcraft.
