“What to do” and “what to say”?
The questions that constantly race through my mind.
“What more can I do” and “why’d I say that”?
When we focus on the bad around, we start to blend in with the negativity;
When we focus on the flaws in the ones we love, we start to forget what made us love them in the first place;
In a hurry, on my way, nearly there, can you hear me;
Will you wait throughout the struggle, will you be able to bear my burden;
Wrongs and rights;
Mistakes and excuses;
Opinions and facts;
Hurt and defenses;
The sick and the lonely;
The weary and abandoned;
10 'Immigrants, we get the job done'
Song: Yorktown (the World Turned Upside Down)
This lyric is catchy and short and its pride for immigrants everywhere, not only cause its awesome, but cause its true.
Majority of times, its easy to blame society for our negative attitudes and avoidance of human interaction, but its possible that, as individuals, we have really just labeled everyone as a pessimist without realizing that we have become the pessimist. Yes, the media, the school bully and higher ups have built an irrefutable system of who is the best and who isn't, but that doesn't give us the excuse to think that anyone with a nicer watch or stuck up face is actually what they seem.
