Are we still allowed to enjoy the moment?
This weekend I took the time to fully immerse myself into what makes me dream with my eyes fully open. The sea has been a trustful companion in my life’s journey, it’s my confidant, my shelter, like I love to call it, a companion in my madness.

Cinderella 2021
Why is love so easily dismiss in the New Cinderella 2021? Is that a feminist trait? After being bombarded by omnipresent Amazon marketing, I decided to sit and let myself be entertained by this controversial new spin on a classic tale. You might be wondering; do you need that kind of content? No, I don’t, that movie was not targeted for me, I’m no audience for it, but I was curious to see how can you make this story more modern and up to date with today’s audience.

The (not so) silent threat of noise pollution
Have you even wonder why sometimes it’s so difficult for you to get some proper sleep? Our over-stimulated senses keep us tossing and turning all night long, making of something as natural as sleeping burdensome. Are we aware of what’s keeping us in a constant state of alert? According to some scholars, one of the main causes is noise pollution. Why don’t we dive head first and find the meaning of this peril to our health?

Worship me
“You can watch a little bit of war from our nice living room, 30 seconds of what’s going on in Syria, and when you’ve had enough, switch over to some celebrity program. We live our lives through screens and images, in this way, we don’t know what’s real or fake anymore, it does not matter.” Said Alison Jackson, the multi-award English photographer more than 20 years ago. In a way, this is a true representation of what going on for decades. Gone are the days of flipping channels and buying magazines, but now, everything your heart’s desire is at your fingertips, what a wonderful time to be alive right?

Ethics behind ArcheologyTop Story - October 2021
Voices from a distant past. “Imagine standing in a room in a large museum. As you look around the dimly lit gallery, you begin to recognize shapes: a basket, an arrow, a beautiful decorated carving, a shield. Some of the objects are foreign to you. What if this object could speak? What would they tell you about themselves? How have they been used? Where did they come from? How did they get in the museum? Whom do they belong to?” When I was looking for information about Archeology, this quote by Professor Ari Berk really made me reflect on the relevance of the work of an Archeologist, travelling the wandering road of history in their never ending quest for answers. Impressive is the fact that the object itself can answer all those questions. To listen to those tales of a distant past, you need an interpreter, a guide into the realm of past events.

Season-ending injury
Jacques Cousteau once said “Water and air, two essential elements on which all life depends, have become global garbage cans” Can we reverse all the damage that humans have done to this wrongfully called Planet earth? Let’s dig a bit deeper and see if we can find a simple answer to this difficult question.

Bad deeds take the lead
The article “Why greed begets more greed” by Michael I. Norton. Published on Scientific American on March 1 of 2014 discusses how a simple act of kindness is capable to leave everyone speechless. Those kind acts of “pay it forward” on a toll, or at a bar, have the ability to completely change our mood. Generosity has the ability not only to make us happier, but also healthier, sound good right? Why don't we give it a chance?

Antiheroes are here to stay
“He who marches out of step hears another drum” Said Ken Kesey, author of the whimsical novel “One flew over the cuckoo’s nest.” Let’s try to answer this simple question, what makes someone good or bad? I guess it all depend on which side you’re on. In our constricted way of interpreting reality, we are usually on the side of the good guys, is it really true? Let’s dig a bit deeper to really understand what differentiate an antihero from someone we can look up to. Is there any difference?
