Why the Juice Trend Isn't Worth the Squeeze
It’s fairly common knowledge that standard packaged juice products that can be found in grocery store aisles aren’t the best choice for our health. They’ve even been considered as bad as sugary sodas, if not worse. Cold-pressed juices from the refrigerated section of grocery stores, or dedicated juice bars, have been on the decline in recent years… But for the people in the back, it’s time to let this broken record play.

My Fiancé Has Been Sleeping On the Floor for Three Nights
Last long weekend we got away to Vancouver Island with some friends. It was the first time in a long time that we had hung out with more than two friends at a time or had a mini vacation. Both were much needed. The next few days that followed after the weekend ended, I found myself struggling to re-adapt to normal life. I felt like I was having a typical post-vacay hangover, but a little worse than usual. I figured it was because we were both pretty burnt out to begin with.

Add These Foods to Your Diet for Happy Hormones and Menstrual Cycle Support
I don’t know about you, but sex ed when I was in school did not even come close to accurately explaining the inner workings of the female reproductive system. There are so many things I have learned as an adult, through trial and error, my own research, and working with healthcare professionals, that would have made a world of difference had I learned them when I was a pre-teen. Receiving a Fatty Liver Diagnosis As A Nutritionist
Yesterday my doctor confirmed that I have “moderate fatty liver” (the non-alcoholic type). This all started from seeking help for extreme menstrual irregularities that have been happening off and on since I had a hormonal IUD for 6 months back in 2019. My hormones are a little low, but otherwise my bloodwork and pelvic ultrasound showed nothing of concern. But the liver ultrasound was a different story.

7 Dos and Don’ts for a Better Night’s Sleep
Sleep is so underrated. A good night’s sleep is a key factor for overall good health, ability to cope with stress, brain function, and more. When we sleep our body is hard at work repairing and revitalizing the body. With too few hours of sleep, or consistently disturbed sleep, we are taking this opportunity away from the body, and the consequences won't take long to manifest.

Why Most People Won’t Take Relocation From Fantasy to Reality
“Courage is the power to let go of the familiar.” — Raymond Lindquist Almost a year ago, on the first day of May in 2021, my fiancé and I made the big, bold, stressful move across the country, from Ontario to B.C., in a twenty foot truck full of our belongings, our car loaded onto the back, and our extremely patient cat in the cab of the truck with us.

A Letter to the Woman Hating Her Body Right Now
I was on a phone call with a friend, and she was distressed after having been shopping and coming to terms with the size of clothing she now needs to wear. She spoke about herself in a way that you would never want to be spoken to, in a way that you would never speak to a friend. This isn’t uncommon. I’ve done it to myself and I’ve heard other friends talk about their bodies in a similar way. We have been conditioned to hate our bodies.
