Christmas Trees: The origin and evolution.
The history of Christmas trees goes back further than the December holiday. Evergreens were used in Ancient Rome and Egypt and there are some stories that say those tres were worshipped as gods. The cutting down of trees continued with the German tradition of candlelit Christmas trees which was brought to America in the 1800s. The tradition as we now know it began in the 26th century when Christians brought decorated trees into their homes during the holiday season, not to worship but as a winter decoration for the celebration on December 25.

Never had a bedroom headache in 44 years
I’ve been with my husband a total of 44 years. In all that time I’ve never had a bedroom headache and never said no to making love. I have listened to women give varying reasons why they have said no to their spouses and that is their right. I used to read letters to Dear Abby and Ann Landers where wives said they hated their husbands touching their breasts or swatting them on the behind. I look at those as terms of endearment but not everyone thinks the same way on the subject. I’m speaking for the other team because there are wives like me who love the attention.

Diane and Martin should date on 'General Hospital'
Diane Miller has not dated anyone since she was in love with Max Gionbetti on General Hospital. Max and his brother Milo were written out of the ABC daytime drama but it was never explained why. They were popular with the viewers and their characters could have been developed much better. Some time back Diane mentioned briefly that she was no longer dating Sonny's bodyguard and nothing more was said. A few weeks Epiphany was hanging out with Terry and Elizabeth and she let it slip that it was over between her and Milo.

Plenty of room in Bethelem Inns this Christmas
In 2020 many people around the world see the coronavirus as the Grinch who is trying to steal Christmas. This is the same sentiment by some in Bethlehem, the land where it all began. The Nativity story tells us that the inns were full over 2000 years ago and there was no room for Mary to give birth. In 2020 the inns have plenty of room but many of them along with hotels. restaurants and souvenir shops are now closed. The popular Christmas tree lighting service will be limited and only a small group of 15 authorized, invited guests can attend. It will be the same things with Bethlehem's church services on Christmas Eve 2020.

The First “ I Love You”
The Coronavirus has caused so much devastation that I thought it would be a good idea to write about something that most adults could relate to, which is the first time you recall hearing those three special words, “ I love you”. I can recall elementary school in the 5th grade when a boy and girl cared for each other. He wrote a note on a piece of paper, balled it up and threw it on her desk. She sat in from of me so when she opened it, I could read “ I love you do you love me?” ’ She quickly wrote “yes”, balled the paper up again and threw it back on his desk. Both of them were blushing and it was adorable. I vaguely can remember being a young teen and sering girls write all over the front of their notebooks , “ I love so and so” over and over again. This was around the time The Partridge Family’s hit I think I love you was out.

The Bold and the Beautiful needs another Stephanie for Eric
On The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric Forrester has been involved with a number of women over the years. With the exception of Stephanie, most of them have been half his age. Brooke, Donna, Quinn. a flirtation with Katie, and now possibly Shauna. A man of Eric’s stature needs a loving wife who is the right fit. I am not saying that John McCook's character must have an older woman, but his class and stature deserve someone who is at least his intellectual equal. Pam is the only senior female on the show, which is discouraging and she was Stephanie's sister. She is also dating Charlie Weber.

Christmas Poinsettia's Have Health Benefits
Poinsettias are the number one flower during the holiday season. They bloom in December and there is a Christmas legend behind them. There was a little girl in Mexico who had no gift for the baby Jesus during a holiday program. She is said to have gone outside and picked a handful of weeds to lay at the church altar. Once she placed the weeds, they bloomed into what we know today as a Poinsettia. In reality, the flower is named for the man who purchased them in Mexico and first brought them back to America. Poinsettias are known for their beautiful array of colors, hues, and shades.

‘A Charlie Brown Christmas airs on Sunday December 13
It was announced in October that Apple TV had purchased the rights to three Charlie Brown Classics. The holiday cartoons for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas would now be on the streaming service and no longer available on network television. I viewed the Turkey Day cartoon on the local Blue Ridge Public Television Network which is channel 4, on local Cox Cable, I decided to set my TV in advance so I could tape A Charlie Brown Christmas which is scheduled for December 13 at 7:30 PM. Imagine my surprise when the program was not listed on the local PBS network.

Prince Charles, Camilla, and Princess Diana their lives were ruined because of the V word
Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, and his wife Camilla Shand-Parker Bowles seem to have found their happy ending but it was a long and bumpy road. A lot of the drama that got them here could have been avoided if they were allowed to marry when they first fell in love. There are several different stories on what interfered but when you put them all together, along with other facts it comes down to one thing. It was believed that Diana Spencer was a virgin and known that Camilla was not. Charles and Camilla allegedly met for the first time at a polo match at Windsor Great Park, in 1970. They begin dating, but Charles left to serve in the Royal Navy for eight months.
