John McCook's character should have a spouse who is truly worthy of him.

Stephanie and Eric

On The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric Forrester has been involved with a number of women over the years. With the exception of Stephanie, most of them have been half his age. Brooke, Donna, Quinn. a flirtation with Katie, and now possibly Shauna. A man of Eric’s stature needs a loving wife who is the right fit. I am not saying that John McCook's character must have an older woman, but his class and stature deserve someone who is at least his intellectual equal. Pam is the only senior female on the show, which is discouraging and she was Stephanie's sister. She is also dating Charlie Weber.

Decades ago most soaps had older couples who were respected by others and often sought out for advice, such as Edward d and Lila Wuartermaine on General Hospital, Tom and Alice Horton on Days of Our Lives, and Steve and Audrey Weber on General Hospital. Today the programming is youth oriented unless which is unfortunate. Days of Our Lives has Doug and Julie Williams who are beloved and have spent over 40 years together both on and off the screen. The Young and the Redtless has Victor and Nikki Newman who have been married 5 times and seem solid right now after over 30 years of trying. General Hosputal has not had a strong couple since the Quartermaine’s passed on.

There currently is no woman on B&B who fits the bill, for Eric Forrester. The writers are having Quin become jealous over the relationship that is building with her estranged husband and her best friend but most viewers don’t like it. Eric Forrester needs someone stable who can grow old with him. Constantly putting him only with women who are the age of his children is not realistic. Yes John McCook is a silver fox but why can’t he have a golden girl by his side? The Bold and the Beautiful is not gaining any fans by having all the women on the show to be going back and forth between the same men. Dollar Bill and Justin are handsome eligible bachelors yet Eric Forrester is the one that all the females gravitate towards.

Spoilers for the CBS daytime drama suggest that Quinn might have a reason to be concerned as her husband and her best friend might be getting pretty close. There is more to soap operas than love triangles but the writers for The Bold and the Beautiful don't seem to know that. For decades it was Brooke and Taylor fighting over Ridge and now that mindset has made its way to the next generation. Within the past few years, there has been the following:

1. Ridge, Brooke and Bill

2. Katie, Bill, and Brooke

3. Katie, Ridge, and Brooke

4. Liam, Hope, and Wyatt

5. Hope, Liam, and Steffy

6. Wyatt, Steffy, and Liam

7. Dollar Bill, Steffy, and Liam.

Now we have the possibility of Dr. Finn, Steffy, and Liam, along with Thomas, Hope, and Liam. There may also be some action between Carter, Zoe, and Zende, with Paris waiting in the wings. Not one viewer wants to see Quinn and Shauna fighting over who will be the mistress of the Forrester mansion. B&B fans are tired of the women squabbling over the same men time and time again. Some fans believe both Shauna and Quinn should go back to the dessert because neither has the potential for future storylines. The only real ties these two have to LA is their children.

Erica Kane

Wyatt and Flo, who right now are kind of disconnected from Forresters, Logans, and Spencers. Katie, Dollar Bill, Donna, and Justin have not been seen in a while and all the action is with Thomas, Hope, Steffy, Finn, and Liam. Realistically what more can be done with Quinn as she has shown herself to be pretty devious? Perhaps Deacon Sharpe should return and light a fire under Quinn, because they were a good match and Eric needs to be done with Wyatt’s mom and her bestie. The stunt they pulled to divorce Ridge and Brooke was pretty low. I don’t know how anyone could trust either of them again.

Gloria Bardwell

Eric, however needs someone like like Stephanie and not just arm candy. Perhaps some former soap divas might fit the bill and three of them come to mind. Erica Kane(Susan Lucia) from All My Children, was a force to be reckoned with. She would really stir things up among the Forrester’s, Spencer’s, and Logan’s. Then there is Victoria Lord (Erica Slezak) from One Life to Live who might be a good choice to set things in order at Forrester Creations as well as in the mansion. Maybe Jane Elliot could do a crossover from General Hospital. Her character Traci Quartermaine could handle, Eric, Quinn and anyone else who got in her way, as she takes no prosoners.

Victoria Lord

Another woman who would fit the Bill would be Judith Chapman who portrays Gloria Bardwell on The Young and the Restless. She is vibrant, attractive, and full of fire. Gloria is not full time on Y&R anymore so she could cross over and really stir things up in LA. The bottom line is that Brad Bell and the B&B writing team can and should do much better for Eric. Any one of the women mentioned and possibly a few more might be the answer to breaking the stalemate of the ongoing love triangles n the show.

Jane Elliot

The viewers who loyaly watch The Bold and the Beautiful deserve so much more than sering the same characters playing musical chairs. The piers that be should have taken notice at the outrage of Katie dating Wyatt who had been her stepson. The boarder line incestous relationship did not go over well and fans are complaining on social media that they want Quinn and ashsuna gone. Pairing Eric with his wife’s best friend should not be done. Give him a woman who is deserving of his love, please.
