Twelve Minutes to Moscow
The Business was proving difficult as the Russian / Ukrainian conflict continued. Everyone was surprised at how well the Ukrainian military fought the Russians to a standstill and forced the mighty Russian army to flee in a panic. However, Stanley's Business suffered greatly, and he had successfully imported specialty vodka and other spirits from Eastern Europe. Sanctions had hurt the importance of the goods that came from Russia. Worse, some of his long-time clients wanted to avoid doing business with him if any goods came from Russia.
Last Cargo Flight from Berlin
Hauptmann Eric Manne watched as the Junker aircraft lifted into the evening sky. Across from him, co-piloting this desperate flight, was Major Dietrich. A lifetime ago, Major Dietrich was one of Furhrer's pilots. The two watched Berlin burn through the windows as they slowly gained altitude. The plane rattled as flank fire struck a short distance from their aircraft.
My Rear View

Mirror, oh Mirror on my Wall
The mirror showed a reflection that wasn't my own. As I write this, I wish I could tell you that this is the first time this has happened. Unfortunately, it happens all the time. Let me first say, to my knowledge, I do not have a mental illiness, though I have had concussion-related trauma since my auto accident in early 2021.
Search and Rescue Grizzly Style
The car skidded left and right before it spun off the road and down the embankment. The sound of squealing tires, and the crash noise, should have attracted some attention. Except this was a rural area, and the driver was sure he would die alone.
The Eventides of Time and Space
Darryl Winkle was about sixty years of age, a little too fat and suffered the occasional migraine headache. He was part-time at several jobs, including short gigs acting, portraying a gorilla and every December, he put on a red suit and portrayed old Santa Claus.
