Barbara J Iversen, also known as Babs Iverson, lives in Texas and loves her grandkids to the moon and back. After writing one story, she found that writing has many benefits especially during a pandemic and a Texas-size Arctic Blast.

“Sweet child o’ mine,” my mama cried. She knew I had to leave. I was driving on Diamond Road, leaving Abilene had a hole in my pocket with a picture in my wallet. On my cell phone, my sister, Crystal said, “If it makes you happy. here It’s only love. Besides, a change will do you good.” I proclaimed, “All I wanna do is smile because I can’t cry anymore.” I didn’t say it, but I thought; it wasn’t a beautiful pain. It’s more like an ugly sore.

Dorothy? You know her! Don't you? Dorothy is the protagonist in L. Frank Baum's book "The Wizard of Oz." While the book was published in 1900, the film version is a classic from 1939. The classic film has entertained the young and the more mature for over 82 years.

LOVE MY JOB
Because of all the freedom, independence, and heartfelt experiences it provides me, I can honestly say that I love my job. Are you questioning? Asking yourself, what job provides these three benefits and opportunities? Did you silently say, "Sign me up!" Truly, retirement is a fabulous job. In fact, it is the best job I have ever had. With my retirement job, I am able to impact the world in a positive way.

Casper! What comes to mind? For me, the first thing that comes to mind is a cartoon character. You probably have heard of Casper the Friendly Ghost. It was a popular children's cartoon from 1945 to 1959. Unsurprisingly, childhood memories seem to stay with you through thick and thin.

Val was broke! Unfortunately, it was becoming more of a constant issue. Besides, she sheepishly referred to her money problems, as temporary economic challenges. However, at times, her mood became mercurial, and her family wasn't able to predict what Val would do.
