Barbara J Iversen, also known as Babs Iverson, lives in Texas and loves her grandkids to the moon and back. After writing one story, she found that writing has many benefits especially during a pandemic and a Texas-size Arctic Blast.

LOVE MY JOB
Because of all the freedom, independence, and heartfelt experiences it provides me, I can honestly say that I love my job. Are you questioning? Asking yourself, what job provides these three benefits and opportunities? Did you silently say, "Sign me up!" Truly, retirement is a fabulous job. In fact, it is the best job I have ever had. With my retirement job, I am able to impact the world in a positive way.

CASPER
Casper! What comes to mind? For me, the first thing that comes to mind is a cartoon character. You probably have heard of Casper the Friendly Ghost. It was a popular children's cartoon from 1945 to 1959. Unsurprisingly, childhood memories seem to stay with you through thick and thin.

Val was broke! Unfortunately, it was becoming more of a constant issue. Besides, she sheepishly referred to her money problems, as temporary economic challenges. However, at times, her mood became mercurial, and her family wasn't able to predict what Val would do.

REVIEW: FIRST COW
Timing is everything, First Cow was released just as the Covid-19 pandemic hit. You didn’t see the movie in a theater. Besides, the movie theaters were closed. In fact, you may have seen the First Cow advertised on one of the many streaming platforms. While distancing and isolating ourselves from the world, it was on a streaming platform where we watched this movie.
