The Yellow Hibiscus Chapter 4
Are you sure you don't want me to call someone?" he persisted, sighing at my statement. He was leading me down the path of temptation. For a moment, I felt as if I was in a shrink's office, and Ari was on a chain being dangled before my eyes, luring me to call him. Right now, he was the forbidden fruit, and Eve wasn't here. I quickly averted the thought, hoping to dispel his memories to the deep recesses of my mind.

The Yellow Hibiscus Chapter 2
Two Days Earlier: Monday, April 20, 2015 The New York City subway system was unpredictable tonight. The train signals were behaving like a moody teenager. Seeing Perfection
Professor Martin Lowe twists and turns as the train spiral out of control heading towards him. Pain and fear yanked him out of his subconscious, and he woke up bathing in sweat, breathing heavily—an image of Xena, one of his students. And April, his on and off girlfriend, stand together, glaring at him. He blinked, then wiped his eyes to remove their mirage while grabbing a deep breath. Feeling for the lamp’s light switch to his left, he switched on the light. His eyes swept the room as his heartbeat slowed. He convinced himself that he was safe.

Fearing Change
Inspired by: Women, Why Are You Trying to Change Us? By Justin Stinnett Women need to allow men to grow and adapt without feeling forced. Is it possible for two people to come together in a relationship and naturally grow towards each other without having to change who they are? What's not helpful is trying to change a person into something they are not. Is it possible for a woman to let a man be a man? Let's analyze this topic!
