The Big Move
Hello dear Vocal friends, I am sorry for my long stretch of silence and happy to find familiar friends still here. For many reasons that will not all find their way to this blurb, I moved to Spain with my spouse. A driving factor was the urge to travel and see more of the world. Europe for a start, Asia hopefully next. Another thing was the ratio of cost of living to income. The math crunched out that we could live in Spain while my husband worked full-time and I focused on writing full-time or we could live in a lower cost of living state in the US, far from anything too extraordinary.

Beyond the Runway: How Artificial Intelligence Is Revolutionizing Modern Aviation. AI-Generated.
Aviation has always been an industry built on precision, redundancy, and constant innovation. Today, artificial intelligence is adding a new layer to that tradition, quietly reshaping everything from how aircraft are designed to how they're flown and maintained. What once required rooms full of engineers and stacks of manuals is increasingly being handled by algorithms capable of processing more data, faster, than any human team could manage alone.

Sustainable Skies: The Electric Aviation Revolution Reshaping Air Travel. AI-Generated.
For more than a century, aviation has run on jet fuel and combustion. But a new chapter is opening in the skies, one written by batteries, electric motors, and a wave of engineering ambition aimed at making flight cleaner and quieter. Electric aviation, once dismissed as a fringe idea, is now drawing billions of dollars in investment, attracting major manufacturers, and inching closer to commercial reality.

My Unpopular Thesis
I’ve been asked to change my position concerning repetitive, identical comments that never engage further with a text or author, and I mean never. For me, it has come to represent not reading, and I have an ethical problem with that. That was my initial complaint: repetitive commenting without reading, but it was presented to the community at large as an intentional personal attack. I resent that. As the attacks on my character piled up, first I was hurt. Then I got angry. I’m still angry.

"I made it! 125 books! Yeah!""Who can tell me a short book that I can read in a day? Just two more books to reach my goal!"

Is Formal Poetry A Form Of Literary Bondage?
Introduction This was prompted by a comment on my poem "Boat" by Judey Kachik. You can read it here: The music for this is, of course, "Oh Bondage, Up Yours" by X-Ray Spex fronted by the sadly missed Poly Styrene.

How I Use My Benable Profile to Showcase My Vocal Stories
There's no denying, life is hard, and if you know what I know, you'll be smart enough to take advice from those who have gone before us, and people who have walked in our shoes (or at least traveled the same path).

More Of My Vocal Milestones. Top Story - March 2024.
Introduction Once I hit my 1,900th Vocal post I started equating some with important years for me and in history. I also thought I had done a milestone piece but my last one like that was this, mainly about hitting forty thousand reads and how I did it. Things have changed since then, but you might be a little interested in it.
