Name Among Creators
Featured in Vocal’s “Creators We’re Loving” and grateful for the community that brought me here.
There is a small section on Vocal called "Creators We're Loving."
Maybe you've seen it.
Maybe you've never paid attention to it.
But I always did.
Almost every time I opened Vocal, whether I realized it or not, my eyes would drift toward that little section. I'd look through the faces and names, quietly wondering,
"Maybe one day... maybe I'll be there too."
It wasn't about fame.
It wasn't about recognition.
It was simply one of those quiet dreams you keep to yourself.
Today...
I opened Vocal like I always do.
And this time...
I saw my own name.

For many people, this might seem like a tiny thing.
Just another featured creator.
Just another rotating list.
And honestly, they're probably right.
But for me...
It isn't small at all.
It's one of those moments that quietly reminds you that your work has reached someone. That the hours spent writing after long days, the doubts before hitting "Publish," the stories you almost deleted, and the nights you wondered whether anyone was reading them... they weren't meaningless.
This feature won't stay forever.
Tomorrow, next week, or next month, another deserving creator will take this place.
And that's exactly how it should be.
But no one can take away the feeling of seeing your own name there for the first time.
That moment belongs to me forever.
I want to thank every single reader who has taken a few minutes out of their day to read my words.
Every person who left a comment.
Every person who liked it.
Every person who shared encouragement when I needed it the most.
You probably don't realize how much those small acts matter.
There have been moments when I felt stuck.
Moments when I questioned whether I should continue writing.
Moments when life became louder than creativity.
Yet this community kept reminding me why I started.
I've met incredibly kind creators here—people who celebrate each other's successes instead of competing with them. Even during the times when I wasn't publishing consistently, many of you never stopped supporting me.
That kindness means more than you know.
I also want to thank the Vocal team.
For creating a platform where writers, poets, storytellers, and dreamers can simply... write.
Being featured among so many talented creators is something I'll always remember.
And finally...
There is someone I'd especially like to thank.
I don't know your name.
Your profile has always remained anonymous.
But somehow, you've always found my stories.
You've consistently supported my work, left tips, and reminded me that someone out there genuinely believes my words are worth something.
You have no idea how much that has meant to me.
This isn't just about the tips.
It's about the feeling behind them.
It's about knowing that someone you've never met chooses to support your work simply because it moved them.
That is a gift I'll never take for granted.
Whoever you are...
Thank you so much.
You'll always have my respect, my gratitude, and a special place in my heart.
To everyone who has been part of this journey—
Thank you for every read.
Thank you for every kind word.
Thank you for believing in my writing, even during the times when I struggled to believe in it myself.
This little feature may disappear.
But the encouragement you've given me will stay with me for a very long time.
Here's to more stories.
More growth.
More late-night writing sessions.
And hopefully...
Many more moments worth celebrating.
With gratitude,
Aarsh Malik
