Costa Rica
Breeze exhales in your left ear. Inhale sea spray. Hot sun consumes the thick jungle and complexions, varnishing the lucky ones until they sparkle. Your boneless body slithers into a hammock. Shadows of palm fronds dance over bare legs, chased by sunbeams. Toenails resemble pink shells in the sand.
Summer KoesterPublished 5 years ago in WanderMinimalist Packing
I always thought I could be a light packer, but as a lover of fashion, changing my clothes a million times, I've always found it quite difficult. This year though, when going to Mallorca in Spain, I had to really cut down on my packing when our taxi and flight had huge size restrictions. Whenever I go on holiday, I always found that I didn't wear at least half of what I brought. I knew I could do this, if I just did it right.
Maddie GreenPublished 5 years ago in WanderNzulezu Stilt Village—A Unique and Magical Mystery Place!
In the capital of Ghana, Accra, I drove for seven hours to an endless charming village with forests on the surface of the water and sighed with relief. I placed out of the boat, waited patiently for it to turn to the opposite side, pulled my small bag out of the canoe, and headed straight for the village of Nzulezu, Ghana. It's about 15 minutes drive and 25 minute walk to this frabjous stilt. Here we go, half the fun. Nzulezu is located in the middle of Lake Amansuri and is made entirely of wood with traces of raffia. Nzulezu has a special atmosphere to celebrate all visitors. The village of Nzuleza on the Tandane Lake hill is about a 35 minute canoe ride from Beyin near this extraordinary stilts. Nzulezu means "surface of the water" in the language of Nzema in Ghana. An impressive feature of Nzulezu’s charm is that the wooden rooms are five meters above the lake.

I'm sitting in my favourite writer's refuge in Sao Paulo, an unremarkable bar on Avenida Cesar with cheap eats and great caipirinhas, reflecting on the routine miracles of modern life.

I was so excited today to make it to my destination. I was driving to the city for the third time in 3 days, trying to learn what I was going to do about the weather. We always try to get there on time, so that is why the lines were so long: it was rush hour traffic! We were feeling so sorry because of the loss of my cousin. We had to bring his mother with us, which was funny.

Grant PattersonPublished 5 years ago in WanderThe Importance of Travel
Throughout my childhood, I dreamed of seeing the world. I never knew how much I was going to love it. For years, I begged and pleaded for my parents to take me on a trip out of the country, and in June 2017, I finally got to go to London. I was so excited to go on this trip with my school’s drama club. This trip started my love for traveling. I thought one of the best parts of the trip was actually traveling with a group of people who had the same interests as me and who I could bond with and learn from while abroad. It was such a unique experience.
