I've written about going to the police for help in filing a report when one John Henaku stole my identity. He tried to create an account with me, I thought he was helping me, he however created the account with his email and password.
I was sent a text by the American agency to my phone, I reported it as fraud. But when I tried to create a corrected account they said there was already one, the email address shown wasn't mine.
When I went to the East Legon Police station which was my local police station, there over 3 1/2 hours I was sexual assaulted, grabbed, offered dick, he put his finger in my mouth. I've written about it here on this platform.
In February 2018 I abruptly left Ghana, the land that had for 8 years been my home. Many did not know the reasons for my departure, and why I stayed away. After nearly five years, I returned to Ghana in October and November 2022 to officially complete the filing of an evidenced report with DOVVSU Police (Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit). This report focuses on the multi-tiered abuse (physical and emotional violence, kidnapping and cyberbullying) that I experienced during my 10-year intimate partner relationship with Mantse Aryeequaye.

Women and girls in Ghana have been under attack for years, having to pay for rape examinations in order to file police reports. Women are abused and beaten within their domestic relationships.
Girls are vulnerable because of their size and predatory men. Men who are often unchecked for their behavior. The country is currently on a witch hunt for gay people, instead of the men defiling girls, raping women and murdering them.
Teens impregnated by men is common place as well. Most unable to complete their education. While many of the men are married. Families even protect men that rape girls, especially if the man is a 'leader' in the community or church official.
There seems to be no one championing for women or girls in the country. The ministry of gender is a joke, Ghana was one of the countries that didn't actively participate in the #16 Days campaign to end gender-based violence. Most campaigns for women are ignored in the country.
Women in politics have reported being threatened, harassed or intimidated in Ghana. Which has a limited number of women who mainly remain silent about all the issuse facing women in the country.
So far no woman or male leader has come out to make a statement about the rampant, violent murder of women. Or the sexual violence against children. Though they pretend to be so concerned about children.
Only when it comes to homosexuality, a country that has corrective rape as a means to end lesbianism. The country is headed into a tragic downfall everyones just ignoring.

On the cover of the news paper an ignored story of a 40-year-old man who 'molests' a girl of 10-years-old. They interchange words often from defilement to molest but often don't use rape a word more widely understood.
Ghanians will even go to social media to laugh and make jokes about women and children being raped. This laughing is very disturbing.

At this time over 200 people found this hilarious, more later have come to laugh and joke. Comments telling jokes under this post were plenty as well.
The man wasn't arrested either, a chief in the community performed a ritual, where he slaughtered several animals. The man raped his wife's 12-year-old sister. This is 2023, a man is getting away with having sex with a child, instead of justice animals died.
There is still no justice for murdered American Julie Diane, who most Ghanians simply labeled as a whore. Without any proof or her lifestyle. No matter what she was murdered, life seems to be worthless in Ghana. Especially that of children and Ghanians that have lived their entire lives in the country they call home.
