FanGraphs, We Need to Talk
As you can tell by this picture above, I'm seething with anger. Why is that, you ask? It's because the disrespect of the Texas Rangers never seems to end. The focus of this story is about FanGraphs. If you're not familiar with them, it was created and owned by David Appelman in 2009. Their main focus is providing stats for every player in Major League Baseball. Plus, they have blog posts, provide information about prospects, and more. I've been following their shenanigans ever since the Rangers won the World Series and nearly six months later, the defending champs are still not being shown the respect that they rightfully deserve. This is a team who has swept the Rays and Orioles in the Wild Card and ALDS respectively. Also, they fought hard to beat their rivals, the Houston Astros, in seven games in the ALCS. Finally, they defeated the Diamondbacks in five games to win it all. This was their first ever World Series title in team history, after being so close of winning it over 12 years ago. I've been a fan for over 20 years and it was the best night of my life.

Well, Connor Bedard, you wanted the NHL spotlight. Now you'll have to deal with the ultimate indignity: being the first to be eliminated.

Lovin’ the PWHL
The inaugural season for professional women’s hockey is well underway and I, like many North American sports enthusiasts, have cottoned on to the excitement of the games and the fanfare. Most of the women playing are relatively well-known through previous media exposure during Olympic games, World Championships and Rivalry matches between Canada and the United States. Yesterday, March 8, being International Women’s Day, I decided that I would pay tribute to the women of the world in my own little sports-minded way, and watch a PWHL game between the teams from Toronto and Montreal. Casually observing the new teams since the start of the season, I had suspected that the Women’s league was somehow different from the NHL and other men’s hockey leagues around the world. Sometimes these differences don’t show up during the Olympic games or World Championships because of the media focus on winning gold medals and the like. However, during a regular season hockey game, be it a men’s game or a women’s game, one gets a chance to really notice what the respective games are all about. I would therefore like to weigh in on what have formerly been suspicions but now are being seen as true differences between men’s and women’s professional hockey.

Today is the birthday of my all time favorite icon in the world of women's wrestling: Melina Perez. I've mentioned my Melina fandom on Vocal a few times, including writing about actually meeting her via a virtual meet and greet (I'm still surprised that I wasn't nervous through the whole thing). I love so many things about Melina, but of course, the thing I love the most is her immense ability to portray a villainess on-screen.

What If You Are Wrong About Justin Fields? The Chicago Bears are the most interesting team in the draft. They have Justin Fields and the potential to have Caleb Williams, who is supposed to be generational. The compensation vs. the number one pick. What will the Bears do? Everyone thinks they have it figured out, but what if you are wrong?
Niko BanksPublished 2 months ago in UnbalancedAvalanche Game 65 Recap: New Team, Who Dis?
The trade deadline has come and gone, and it was a fruitful one for the Colorado Avalanche. Moments before the 7-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings, the Avs traded for Casey Mittelstadt and Sean Walker. A day later, the Avs traded for two more players; first off, the Avs acquired Brandon Duhaime from the Minnesota Wild, and also traded for Yakov Trenin, formerly of the Nashville Predators. Also, the Avalanche dealt Ben Meyers to the Anaheim Ducks for a draft pick.
Clyde E. DawkinsPublished 2 months ago in UnbalancedAvalanche Game 64 Recap: All Hail Cale
I am so blessed that Cale Makar is on my team! To say that this was a day to remember for the Colorado Avalanche would be an understatement. We made a lot of noise today, not just on the ice, but off it as well. The Avs are making moves! First off, we traded Ryan Johansen to the Philadelphia Flyers for defenseman Sean Walker; the Flyers later waived Johansen. We all knew Johansen would be dealt; he had been underwhelming, for the most part, for the Avs this season. As for Walker, he's supposed to be quite the key player, so this is a big move for the Avs.

After playing an even first half in the out bracket game versus 12th seeded Rye Neck, John Jay fell behind by a dozen in the third. Refusing to give in nonetheless, the Wolves came back and forced overtime on Wednesday February 14. So five more minutes added, the boys definitely didn’t shy away.

During times of recession, unemployment increases rapidly before gradually declining. The time between the peak of economic activity and the lowest point of the economy is another definition of recession. In a recession, people's daily life can face major disruptions. a brief period of economic downturn marked by a decrease in trade and industry. Expenses for everything from groceries to shoes are frequently higher, and job security may be reduced for employees. Recessions are periods of economic downturn characterized by declining company, income, employment, and outcome.
