In the US, they have all sorts of cannabis edibles on offer from sweet to savoury - they have just about turned any conventional snack into one that’s been infused with cannabis. They are also a fair bit stronger as most contain THC - the chemical compound in cannabis that gets you high. So you have to be very stringent irrespective of how delicious they may be as too much could leave you out of action for a few hours! In the UK, it is illegal for any cannabis product to contain any more than 0.2% of THC, meaning that all of our edibles are CBD edibles and have zero to negligible amounts of THC in them. I will use this article to explain a bit more about CBD edibles in the UK and my most favourite CBD edible - CBD chocolate!
It was a summer night. probably mid June or July, I can't really remember but it was a day my friend Dom and I decided to do DMT for another time. We have each expiernced this drug but never together. The expiernce of this drug is said to be the expiernce of birth/death. A little background of DMT aslo known as Dimethyltryptamine, is a chemical substance that occurs in many plants and animals and which is both a derivative and a structural analog of tryptamine. It can be consumed as a psychedelic drug and has historically been prepared by various cultures for ritual purposes as an entheogen. Point being this is a very strong drug. As I've stated I have taken this drug before is its own story in iteself, but the result was I basically saw my true self from another lense. Back to the strory.
I haven't always been an edible fan. They usually bring me down and make me groggy. Lately, however, I've been trying to expand my horizons and try more methods of consuming cannabis. This new curiosity has led me down a journey into trying different brands and flavors.
I idolized my oldest brother Ron, and whenever he was around, I begged him to let me hang out with him. He was always smiling, with his characteristic “cat that ate the canary" grin under his blond wavy hair. I could be persistent, and I succeeded in talking my way into rides in his blue Volkswagen van. Ron would stick a Paul Butterfield Blues Band eight-track tape into the player and I was in seventh heaven. I loved the sound of the blues. I would tag along, following him to places like the Mystic Arts World, a metaphysical bookstore, hippie boutique, and head shop on Pacific Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. It was the epicenter of the psychedelic world and one of the first head shops in existence.
