2017 OPSEU Strike
I'm a student at Algonquin College's Woodroffe campus in Ottawa, Ontario, and I, along with 200,000 other full-time students, have been unable to attend class for a week. Starting at 12:01 AM on Monday, October 16, 2017, 12,000 college professors walked away from their jobs and went on strike.

What It's like to Be Bullied
After spending 14 years of my 20-year life in school I can simply say that these school years were, and most probably are, going to be the worst years of my life. Compared to most people who have experienced school, they can say whether they were one of the "popular" kids, smart kids, "average" kids or just the kids that were never really taken much notice of during their years at school. However, I have only met a handful of people who I know that have been bullied to either nearly the extent that I had been bullied to or some even worse to what I had experience.

If the IRS Sends You a Bill that You Can’t Pay, What Should You Do?
Well, for starters, please don’t have a heart attack! But before we proceed any further, it is very important for you to be cognizant of the fact that many people are receiving threatening phone calls from persons purporting to be IRS officers, stating that they owe outstanding balances. These people are NOT from the IRS! You should hang up the phone immediately, if you receive any of these calls. The IRS does not make phone calls to individuals concerning their personal tax matters; that’s not their method of operation. The IRS only communicates with taxpayers by sending them notices in the mail.

Best Public Schools in the USA by State
There are tons and tons of public schools not just across the state, but across the country. There are some schools better than others in academics, sports, programs, etc. But all in all, schools are there to teach students proper education and hopefully motivate them to attend college and go far beyond that. And don't tell me that private schools are better than public. In certain ways, they have their differences, but a student attending a public school is gaining just enough knowledge and education as a student attending a private school.

Minimum Wage for Maximum Stress
Here in the UK, minimum wage (if over 24) is £7.50 which works out fairly similar if living in the US. On average, based on a 35 hour week, a loyal, twenty-something employee will bring home something a little south of £1000 a month. Which gets you halfway to nowhere. After rent, bills, food, travel, and the essentials like a box of hair dye because you're too poor to go to a hairdressers or a new pair of jeans because your only other pair have more holes than what anyone could consider deliberately fashionable; most of us minimum-wagers are sustaining ourselves on a particularly stressful budget. So which is more important this month? A £70 prescription for badly needed glasses or an £80 renewal fee for your passport because without it, you're technically a non-existent citizen and regrettably ID-less. This relentless stress of deciding which way is best to spend our last remaining oner is just the flour in a cake of strains that will eventually be topped with the mother of all icings. The job itself.
