women in politics
Talking female politicians, feminist activists, and all the the ways women around the world are changing the landscape of the Swamp, be it for better or worse.
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Husband is Over Her Shit
Perry Greene has finally pulled the plug on his marriage to nutcase Marjorie Taylor Greene. I’m not sure what the final tipping point was, but take your pic. This woman is a dumpster fire out of control in the back of a Walmart loading dock area. She’s truly a garbage human.

Labour it would appear has been given a gift by Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng or 'Kami-Kwasi'. Labour accused the chancellor of crashing the Pound after Mr. Kwarteng's mini-budget. The Pound did indeed fall and is at its lowest in 37 years.
Nicholas BishopPublished 2 years ago in The SwampThe Divided States of America
I’ve been theorizing for a while now that the United States of America is never going to be united again. Or at least any time soon. I feel that a name change and some logistics may be in order soon. The Divided States of America seems more accurate and realistic here in 2022.
Jason ProvencioPublished 2 years ago in The SwampThe Re- Rebirth of the Conservative Party
Since the early 21st Century the Conservative party — widely regarded as the most successful political party in history — has shown immense capacity for reinvention. First under Cameron, shedding the ‘nasty party’ label, and projecting an image of supposedly compassionate Conservatism — fiscal discipline combined with socially liberal policies to match the public mood. Then again with Theresa May, coming to power with promises to help the left behind, often co-opting Labour policies (energy price cap anyone?) and combining this with a more nationalist worldview — Brexit means Brexit, in case you’d forgotten.
Ethan MalonePublished 2 years ago in The SwampShould Trump Run Again?
This is not a trick question or a trick answer. Pull up almost any website on the Internet these days and you’re likely to see an ad asking: “Should Donald Trump run again” Some ads will include the words “Should Donald Trump run for President again?” while others will not.

Background: Every person who enlists or is drafted into one of the Armed Forces of the United States of America enters into a pact with our federal government that says, if injured while performing our duties, we are entitled to compensation and personal care at no cost to us.
I'm Too Old to Have an Abortion
I've feared for America since 2016 There were intimations of unease even long before that; waves of disquiet and dread during the second Bush administration as it used the national tragedy of 9/11 as an excuse to plunge us into a baseless war for oil in Iraq. Indeed, ripples of my civic angst ripple back through time to my sense of foreboding on the day Ronald Reagan was elected.

Buck HardcastlePublished 2 years ago in The SwampThe First Signs of the 2022 Red Wave: Mayra Flores
Many political analysts wondered just how big the 2022 Red Wave would be, we might know now. The first signs of the 2022 Red Wave are in, that being with the win of Mayra Flores in a special election in Texas’s 34th congressional district. This is not just an ordinary congressional race, but a race that shows the growing support of Latinos towards the GOP and what that support can mean in the 2022 midterm elections, which will decide the fate of the remainder of the Biden Administration. So, what’s the big fuss about this race? Here, I explain.
Evaristo DerbyPublished 2 years ago in The SwampWho is Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle, the federal judge who blocked Biden's travel mask mandate?
A little-known federal judge appointed by former President Donald Trump found herself in the national spotlight on Monday after striking down the Biden administration's public transportation mask mandate.
Vice President Kamala Harris
It is no secret that Vice President Kamala Harris is struggling to keep her head above water. The excitement and optimism generated by the shattering of a longstanding glass ceiling just over a year ago is all but forgotten. Herstory was made, and that is never going to change. Given the fact that the 19th Amendment (granting women the right to vote) came into effect a little over 100 years ago, many would say “about time.” Regardless of what happens over the next few years, Kamala Harris will always be notable as America’s first female Vice President, but that alone doesn’t guarantee that she will have a good reputation after the dust settles.
