Revolution
Today, we live in a world filled with deception, deceit, and lies. The United States government continues to perpetrate gross injustices on the public. Sadly, though, there really hasn't been a unified effort to make our government accountable for all the travesties they have imposed on the American citizen. Remember the 99 percent movement of just a few years ago? That protest never got organized, for if it did, maybe, just maybe, things would be a little bit better today. It is the public, though, that have been so indoctrinated in accepting whatever the government mandates. There have been countless numbers of unfunded mandates imposed on the American citizen, all of which have put financial strains on practically every American. That is just part of the issues facing us today.
Dr. WilliamsPublished 6 years ago in The SwampMost Famous Presidential Debates in History
When it comes to the presidential elections, the debates are what really grab our attention. Of course, these debates show which candidate is more qualified to run the country. They'll reason, argue, and essentially debate over certain topics that revolve around the country; from the economy to immigration and policies. Since thousands and thousands of people are watching these debates, the candidates want to show that they're the potential president that the country needs.
Glenn BushinskiPublished 6 years ago in The SwampThe Origins of the Term Socialized Medicine and How Mad Men Sank Our Chance for National Healthcare in 1948
Back in 2008, the smoke cleared, we wiped our noses, and finally got healthcare reform. Gesundheit!! Well, sort of… With a universal acceptance of a system in dire need of repair, I envisioned congress intelligently fighting it out. As a result, the best of both worlds would create compromise that could not be beholden to any one political ideology or sustainable business model. Oh my God, what was I smoking back then?
Rich MonettiPublished 6 years ago in The SwampUnderstanding Men's Rights Activists and Their Lingo
Men's Rights Activists (MRA) think that they're taking arms against a world that's changing for the worse but, in reality, they're dragging their feet in the face of much-needed progressive evolution. Rather than representing a marginalized group on the edge of oppression, MRAs are actually the ones doing the oppressing and benefiting from a system rigged in their favor.

Click for AUDIO VERSION. I have discussed problems with the Main Stream Media (MSM) on more than one occasion, but as the midterm elections are rapidly approaching, I have spotted another example of media corruption which voters should be made aware of: specifically, the misrepresentation of voting data.
Love > Hate
Dr. Martin Luther King jr. the icon went through an immense amount of racism while keeping a nonviolent mind. Yes, we all know, but it is how he managed to push through and be an activist. To have love—that is what many forget to calculate; how Dr. King felt and expressed his passion in helping those around him and even the ones abroad who are just as oppressed as he.

Love in the Time of POTUS 45
I’m drinking champagne alone in the Broadway Bar on the night of the Women’s March on Washington. I just left the Orpheum, where the Literary Death Match poets and readers declared hopes for daughters and tribute to mothers—and you could feel as much in the audience as on the streets of Downtown LA tonight that we’re all still flying high, giddy with celebration even though we know there’s a long four years ahead. But we’re not ready to let hope fade yet—people are still carrying their signs, and they’re wearing their homemade pussy hats, and I still haven’t changed my clothes.
Jaz PersingPublished 6 years ago in The Swamp Pennies, Memories, or Wastes of Space?
Controversially, governments around the world are slowly eliminating their lower-value coins. Examples of such countries that are in the process of disposing of their coins, or have already done so, include Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Finland, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, And Great Britain. A country that will perhaps be placed onto this list will be the United States of America eliminating production of their pennies and other virtually worthless coins.

"Holy sh*t man," he came running back after a moment, papers flapping wildly in his hand. I was working another minimum wage job in an endless stream of minimum wage jobs, and I was still trying to fold a pizza box helplessly.
Danielle DraganiPublished 6 years ago in The SwampFree Speech In 2018
I am a strong believer in someone's right to free speech. I think people should be able to voice their opinion and make jokes about anything they want. I do believe there is definitely a time and place to say certain things; however, censorship is becoming too much in this day and age and this is what I will be discussing in this latest post.

Even though most online writers are adults, I'm one of the few teenage online writers. Yeah, I know. I'm just a high school student who usually writes about movies and theories. But every once in a while, I write a political article, and today, it's time for another politics article.
Jonathan SimPublished 6 years ago in The SwampWhite Supremacist Lingo and Conspiracy Theories
Of a rally that saw an act of white supremacist terrorism our President, Homeopathic Hitler, said, “You also had some very fine people on both sides." Considering that The Worst of Us has had advisors like Sebastian Gorka, Stephen Miller, Sam Nunberg, and Stephen Bannon, who've all expressed openly bigoted views, it's no surprise that Orange Julius struggles to condemn bigots: he invited them into his campaign and administration. Knowing white supremacist lingo and conspiracy theories, then, will allow you better understand Trump and his hate stew milieu.
