Don’t Forget To Close The Door Behind You
Within four years in power you have divided the U.S.A and encited entertainment, endless memes and caused protests all over the world. Your tenure in caused politics into a taboo subject in social circles. Many people call you a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler, but I would say you are more of the second coming of Henry VIII: a man who loves power, women and would be willing do everything to get what you want to get it, even if it meant dividing a country and a nation.
Chloe GilholyPublished 3 years ago in The SwampGoodbye, Donald Trump
Hey, Mr. Cheeto Supreme I guess you are wondering why I am writing you this letter. More than likely, you probably will not even read it. Yeah, I know that you do not like to read. Anyway, whether you read it or not I am still going to say what I need to say. At least it will be off my chest and in your lap while you are sitting in the front seat of the moving truck that will be parked in front of the White House in a few days. Are you excited? I know I am! You have wreaked havoc on this country and opened the gates for your remedial minions to run around as if everyone should reverence them. I hate to burst your bubble, Agent Orange but I am not intimidated by you or them. If anything, I think you are all a joke. As a black woman, I have had to sit and watch for the past four years while people like me have been treated unfairly every single day. We have endured police brutality, racial profiling, and our cries for racial equality has been laughed at by you and your followers. We are tired. Not only that, but you have also downplayed a pandemic that has basically ripped this country apart financially. Ironically, you ended up getting this very deadly virus yourself and you still wanted to downplay it even then. Many people are dying or have died from this pandemic and you were more worried about posting your latest tweet!! Thank GOD you have been banned from all social media networks!! Oh! And let us not forget the insurrection you caused by boosting your followers to breach The Capitol last week!! You set those idiots up and now you are hiding your hands!! Typical brat move don't you think? Anyway, I am glad that you are leaving!! I pray that as soon as the clock strikes twelve on January 20, that the Secret Service will wake you out of your sleep and drag your butt straight out of the White House and in the middle of the street!! Goodbye, Tangerine Face!!! You are the worst President this country has ever had!!! It is a bit annoying knowing that you are so delusional to the point of thinking that you won the election and that it was stolen from you. You cannot even admit that you lost because of your ego. You have for the past two months boosted your followers to do the unthinkable by giving them the green light to breach the Capitol. Now, instead of owning up to it, you are throwing them under the bus and hiding your hands. It is a bit too late to hide those infant hands of yours. The entire world, including the Republican Party, is seeing who you really are, and they are not too happy with you. Honestly, I think the Republican Party’s new distaste for you is a bit too late. They literally gave you free rein to act like an uncontrollable brat for four years. Now that you have wreaked havoc in their house, they are ready to get rid of you. Seeing your burnt orange face leaving the White House in five days is all I have been looking forward to since the day you were elected. I wish I could be there to watch you leave with nothing but straight embarrassment on your face. I know that seeing your dear Republicans turn their back on you kind of stings. And it serves you right. You deserve everything that is coming to you and then some! Bye, Orangey!!!

[Trigger warning: assault] Dear Donald, I would like to offer you my sincerest congratulations on your historic first (and only) term as President of the United States of America. Many men have sought immortality throughout the ages, but few have had the courage to pursue it even to the detriment of themselves, their families, their countries, and even their own self-respect. With not one, but two impeachments and nearly 400 thousand pandemic deaths (at the time of this writing) under your belt, you have successfully graffitied your name across the pages of history. America will remember you - whether it wants to or not.
Saying Goodbye
Dear Mr. Resident of Pennsylvania Avenue, As I sit here to write this letter, I find myself needing to drown out my own conflicting thoughts. I consider things I would have liked to tell you, if only you would have listened, and doubtful you ever would have cared. I reflect back to the moments over the past few years and all the words I have had for you. I do this knowing my words would never have moved you, no matter how eloquently I scribed them. I doubt you even would have understood half of them, yet here I am, still doing my best to give it a go.

Dear Don. May I call you Don? It's certainly a lot nicer than other things I have in mind. I mean, I'm a white woman so you'll probably let me, but I'm also fat and 52, so maybe not.
Jenn KirklandPublished 3 years ago in The SwampHi Mr. Realistic,
I know the above headline will make you smile. You are the realistic picture that we have seen for the last four years and slightly before that.

Dear President Trump, I would like to take this time to let you know how your time as president has affected my life and my family’s life. It seems that since you became president, you have tried so hard to make others lives less important than the lives of people you deem better and more superior than the rest of us. Let me tell you how you and your family and followers have made me and other feel.
Tasha Rachel JohnsonPublished 3 years ago in The SwampDear 45
Dear 45 I would use your name but I don't believe you deserve to be named. A number is even too much value to give you honestly. I'm sure if we ever met you'd feel the same about me yet the difference is you have genuinely destroyed the lives of millions of people living in the United States...while you'd hate me for who I love, my queerness, my black skin, my respect for science above religion, my religious views and much more.

Dear Donald, There’s a pain in my chest. Not on my left side, over the heart, but on the right where the heart might’ve been but isn't. It hurts here whenever I overeat. This morning, I was making bacon the way I did back at home on Sundays. The whole slab for the whole family. I live far away and alone now, though, so it’s different, but I cooked it all up anyway, a giant pile of bacon all for me, and it’s not even Sunday, it’s Tuesday morning—okay, afternoon—but the point is that in my heart, or whatever’s on the other side, I’m still cooking for five. And so I eat for five. Is this how you feel? I know it might seem odd that I’m writing to you about this, Mr. President, and not my doctor, but I just thought you of all people might understand.
Nolo ContenderePublished 3 years ago in The SwampAnti-Semitic Trump supporter wants Jews to die
The aftermath of January 6th continues to expose the true nature of Trump supporters every single day. During the attack on the Capitol, they urinated and defecated all over the place like wild beasts. They erected a noose, chanted hang Mike Pence and some admitted to wanting to assassinate various members of Congress. American flags were removed and Trump flags erected in their stead. Confederate flags were carried through the White House and an innocent black woman in LA was attacked by a group of Trump supporters. President number 45 has brought this on by winking and nodding at extremist groups and now a photo has emerged of a man wearing a disgusting anti-Semetic Tee shirt.

Bettering this country and society as a whole runs far deeper than voting. Of course, voting is a huge step in which we have the opportunity to contribute to the change in our future as a country, however, there are certain things that a vote will not necessarily change. As an African-American girl, there are things that I am more likely to face on a day to day basis compared to my friends who are non people of color.
