Dear Sir,

As you prepare to leave the hallowed position of President of the United States of America, you ought to know that we are no longer united. Sure, it could be said that as you campaigned across the country in 2016 that the U.S. was already suffering fissures in our foundation, you did nothing to heal those fissures. In fact, it could be said that you caused an eruption rivaling Mount Vesuvius that broke us apart further.

In the last four years, it seems as though racial profiling by cops, everyday citizens, and even elected officials has taken a large uptick. Hundreds of people of color have lost their lives or been paralyzed by people who are supposed to protect us from the bad people of the world. You have cozied up to world leaders whom Americans shouldn't be so buddy-buddy with, worked in tandem with Russia to weaken America so that we are more vulnerable to outside forces (which has already happened), and made it okay to threaten violence on members of the press and elected officials.

While I am on the subject of death threats for elected officials, who the hell are you to allow your unhinged followers to go out and try to kill your Vice President? The man's hands were tied, as the Constitution (which you really ought to read, if you can read words that large) reads. The election wasn't stolen; the people of this fractured country have had enough of your lies. These last two months have been awful, and then you incite a failed coup on the basis of a stolen election and unfaithful Republicans who voted against you or wouldn't tow the party line. You abused the very oath you took in January 2017, and yet people have been so blinded or so afraid of whatever you know, that few will stand up against you.

You are a waste of oxygen. New York doesn't want you, neither do your neighbors in Palm Beach. They don't want your kids, either. Sure, there are parts of the country that would welcome you with open arms, but even they are beginning to shy away from you after what happened at the Capitol last week.

Leave the office on January 20 with your tail between your legs, and fade into oblivion. Let the country try to heal, for COVID-19 to hopefully begin dissipating, and just golf to the end of your days. You have done enough damage to the country. Just be quiet and go away.
