Gaslighting 101
Gaslighting is a term found almost everywhere. Surely if you have a cell phone, computer, and access to the internet you have come across the world more times than you can count. Unfortunately, this familiarity does not automatically translate to understanding. In fact, many of us are too afraid to ask, or even seek further clarification when it comes to subjects, we don’t fully understand. We will fake it until we make it and hopefully pick things up quickly as we make our way through. So, if you find yourself in this group keep on reading. Where gaslighting will not only be broken down and explained, but you will walk away with an understanding as to why it is so damaging to not just your relationships, but your mental health as well.

Saying Goodbye
Dear Mr. Resident of Pennsylvania Avenue, As I sit here to write this letter, I find myself needing to drown out my own conflicting thoughts. I consider things I would have liked to tell you, if only you would have listened, and doubtful you ever would have cared. I reflect back to the moments over the past few years and all the words I have had for you. I do this knowing my words would never have moved you, no matter how eloquently I scribed them. I doubt you even would have understood half of them, yet here I am, still doing my best to give it a go.

MAGA NATION
If you’re anything like me it’s hard to find your place on the political spectrum. Never really identifying or fitting in with either party. Maybe the world of politics never held your interest or attention. Maybe politics is the bane of your existence as it fuels a hate fire deep in Your soul whenever the topic is bought up.

White People Disappoint Me
As a middle-aged, middle-class white woman I need everyone to hear this. White. People. Disappoint. Me. Why? Because your privilege is so engrained that your entitlement keeps you from seeing some very basic, simple truths. Racism is alive and well. PC and Cancel Culture did not kill it. It simply made it a bigger crime to be called a racist than to be a racist. Racism is all around you. Disparities and injustice are waving at you every day and you still fail to acknowledge it. If at any point during a discussion about race you need to hear the phrase, “Imagine if it was your child, mother...”, you are part of the problem. Because white America has claimed to disavowe “Racism” in its most vile sense in favor of allowing “polite racism”
