John froze for a moment, unsure of what to do. He had never expected to come face to face with the alleged assassin. But as he watched, he saw the man hesitate for just a second before taking another shot at Kennedy.

That was all the motivation John needed. He lunged towards the shooter, tackling him to the ground before he could take another shot. The man struggled beneath him, but John held him down with all his strength.

"Who are you?" the shooter demanded, his eyes wild with fear and confusion.

"It doesn't matter who I am," John replied, his voice shaking with adrenaline. "What matters is what you're doing. You're about to change the course of history, and I can't let that happen."

The shooter continued to struggle, but John held him down, using all his strength to keep him immobilized. He knew that he couldn't hold him for long, but he had to try.

As he looked up, John saw the motorcade speeding away, and he knew that Kennedy was safe. He felt a wave of relief wash over him, but he knew that he couldn't let his guard down. There was still work to be done.

Just then, he heard a voice behind him. "Hey! What are you doing there?"

John turned to see a police officer approaching, his hand on his gun. He knew that he was in trouble, but he didn't know how to explain what had just happened.

"I… I was just trying to stop him," John stammered, gesturing to the shooter beneath him. "He was going to kill the president."

The officer looked at John skeptically, but he didn't draw his gun. Instead, he called for backup, and soon John was surrounded by a group of police officers.

As they handcuffed the shooter and took him away, John felt a wave of relief wash over him. He had done it. He had stopped the assassination.

But as he looked around at the chaos and confusion, he knew that he had changed more than just one event. He had changed the course of history itself.

As the police questioned him and took his statement, John began to realize the enormity of what he had done. He had altered the past in a way that he could never have predicted, and he had no idea what the consequences would be.

He wondered what would happen to the shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald. Would he be put on trial for attempted murder? Would he be executed? And what about Kennedy himself? Would he continue to lead the country, or would his life take a different path?

John knew that he couldn't stay in the past forever. He had to return to his own time, to see the impact of his actions. But he was afraid of what he might find.

As he stepped back into the time machine, John felt a sense of unease. He had always believed that he was doing the right thing, that he was preventing a tragedy. But now he wasn't so sure.

He had changed the past, but had he changed it for the better? Or had he set off a chain of events that would lead to even more chaos and tragedy?

As he traveled back to his own time, John felt a sense of dread building inside him. He had no idea what he would find when he returned, but he knew that it would be different.

When he emerged from the time machine, John found himself in a world that was almost unrecognizable. The streets were filled with unfamiliar buildings and strange, advanced technology. People walked around with strange devices in their hands, and the air was filled with the sounds of artificial intelligence.

John realized with a shock that he had gone too far. He had traveled too far into the future, and he
