In 1983, at the age of 36, Cruyff officially announced his retirement as a professional player and began to take charge of coaching. He was technical director of Ajax and later manager of Spanish side Barcelona, with whom he won one European Cup, one Cup Winners' Cup, two La Liga titles and one Copa del Rey.

On June 1, 1987, Cruyff received the Celebrity Story: The Dutch "Flying man" in the history of world Football - Johan Cruyff coaching Certificate. He left Ajax on 4 January 1988 after falling out with the club's hierarchy.

Cruyff left Ajax and moved to Barcelona, where he served as both head coach and technical director. He built a team that won the European Cup Winners' Cup, the European Champions Cup, the Copa del Rey and four consecutive league titles (1991-1994). In Spain they were known as the "Dream Team".

In Cruyff's first season, Barcelona finished second in the league and went on to win the European Cup Winners' Cup for the third time in its history, beating Serie A upstart Sampdoria 2-0. In the second season, Barcelona reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup again, but lost to Manchester United 1:2, failing to become the first team to win back-to-back European Cup Winners' Cup. In the third season, Barcelona finally won the league title after losing it for six years...

Cruyff split with Barcelona in 1996 after eight years with the club. Cruyff was a keen smoker, but had to quit after bypass surgery in 1991 and a heart attack in 1997, and vowed never to coach again. Cruyff died of cancer on the evening of March 24, 2021, surrounded by his family, his official personal website confirmed.

It is generally accepted that many successful people have some element of luck, but Cruyff's success is inevitable, and his hard work is the root cause of that inevitability.

Cruyff was born on April 25, 1947, in a poor part of Amsterdam, the son of humble fruit and vegetable sellers. Due to poor family conditions, Cruyff grew up malnourished and thin, but this did not affect his love of football.

From an early age, Cruyff longed to join Ajax Football Club, and at the age of seven, Cruyff taught himself how to play football.

No place, go to the beach near home; No sneakers, just barefoot, even in winter, and often for hours on end.

As long as enough love, no difficulty can stop the pace of progress.

It was only when the running of the teenager caught the eye of Ajax's youth team coach that Cruyff was admitted to the club.

In the club, Cruyff is not the best player, even because of the thin body was almost eliminated.

Cruyff has worked harder and is determined to stay here and be the best player.

Other people train five hours a day, he will stick to the eighth hour; When someone else does something three times, he will repeat it five or even ten times.

Finally, in his first season with the junior team, Cruyff stunned Dutch football by scoring 74 goals and was no longer told he was not good enough.

After World War I fame, many excellent domestic clubs, such as Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven and other giants have to Cruyff olive branch.

It can be said that no matter which team to join, will have a great boost to his future development, but he did not move, but chose to stay in his understanding of the Ajax team.

There are regrets after the glory

Cruyff, as one of the most influential players in world football, has always been regarded as a myth in the history of world football. As good as he is, his career is not without regrets.

Cruyff's achievements are well known. He has won the Dutch Ligue 1 championship nine times, the European Champions Cup three times and the European Footballer of the Year three times.

He led his players to four Spanish Liga titles and the 1991-92 European Cup. Cruyff's strength can be seen in every accolade.

As you may have noticed, the World Cup is not one of those honors.

Cruyff came very close to winning the World Cup, but he led the Netherlands to their first World Cup finals in 1974 and all the way there before losing to Germany in the final.

A record of 1:2 denied him a top podium finish, and Cruyff's failure to win any major championships for his country was a lifelong regret.

Another way to serve my country

Cruyff announced his retirement in 1984.

In order to make up for the career regret, he still did not leave the field after retirement.

With football in mind, national glory in mind and the World Cup in mind, he chose to devote himself to youth football development, continue to contribute to the football world and play for his country in another way.
