Spirituality and the strenght that comes from it may be reached by many paths. For years now I find my inner peace listening to the mantras. Today I chose to explain what they are and show you where I get mine from.

Mantra chanting is an ancient spiritual practice that has been used for centuries to calm the mind and bring peace to the soul. The word "mantra" comes from Sanskrit, meaning "to protect the mind." Mantras are powerful sounds or phrases that are repeated to produce a calming and meditative state. They are considered to have a divine origin, and chanting them is believed to bring one closer to the divine and to experience inner peace.

I prefer to hear the mantra chanting by myself early in the morning before my family wakes up. It prepares me for the day and brings about a certain tranquility difficult to explain. I feel I protect my home and my loved ones to face the challenges and uncertainties of the rest of the day. It's my contribution to the family's protection or at least the very first one of the day. Many prefer it at night. It doesn't matter, it's entirely up to you. You may learn more here: https://www.digistore24.com/redir/422276/SergioCMartins/

The practice of mantra chanting has its roots in Hinduism and Buddhism and has since spread to other spiritual traditions around the world. In Hinduism, mantras are believed to be the audible manifestation of the divine. They are used as tools for meditation, prayer, and worship, and are believed to have the power to transform the consciousness of the chanter.

Mantras can be chanted in many different ways, including silently, out loud, or in a whisper. Some mantras are specific to certain deities or gods, while others are more general. Some of the most commonly used mantras include "Om" (also known as "Aum"), "Om Namah Shivaya," and "Om Mani Padme Hum."

Om is considered to be the most sacred and powerful of all mantras. It is considered to be the sound of the universe and is believed to encompass all of existence. Chanting Om can help to still the mind, bring peace to the soul, and connect the chanter to the divine.

Om Namah Shivaya is a mantra dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the three main gods in Hinduism. This mantra is believed to bring blessings, protection, and peace to those who chant it. It is also believed to help purify the mind and remove obstacles and negative thoughts.

Om Mani Padme Hum is a mantra dedicated to the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara. This mantra is said to bring compassion, wisdom, and peace to those who chant it. It is also believed to help alleviate suffering and bring enlightenment to the chanter.

In addition to its spiritual benefits, mantra chanting has been shown to have numerous physical and mental health benefits as well. Regular chanting has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve focus and concentration, and increase feelings of happiness and well-being.

Mantra chanting can be done at any time and can be a wonderful way to start or end the day. It can be done alone, or in a group setting, and is often accompanied by traditional instruments such as drums, bells, and singing bowls.
