A whisper of a wind,

A stillness in the air,

A single tear that falls,

From a heart that just won't care.

An aching in the soul,

A void that can't be filled,

An empty shell of emptiness,

Where hope and joy once thrilled.

A need to make it right,

A longing to be free,

A wish to have the courage,

To finally break the chain of misery.

These chains of fear and doubt,

That bind the heart and mind,

Must be released and broken,

For healing to begin to find.

A gentle hug and touch,

A voice that speaks of care,

A hand that holds so close,

A heart that's full of prayer.

To find a way to cope,

To learn to love again,

To forgive and not forget,

And make a brand new plan.

To find the courage within,

To look beyond the pain,

To see the good in life,

And start to feel again.

To find the strength and will,

To stand up and stand tall,

To take a leap of faith,

And not let fear enthrall.

To trust and find the joy,

That once was taken away,

To take back the control,

And end the hurt today.

To not be bound by fear,

But instead be brave and strong,

To move beyond the hurt,

And finally heal the wrong.

To stay the course of healing,

The path that can be hard,

To keep on pushing forward,

To make a brand new start.

To spread the wings of hope,

And rise above the sadness,

To know life can be brighter,

And the future more of gladness.

To find the beauty in the world,

And the joy to be alive,

To always look ahead,

And put the past behind.

To find the lessons learned,

Fostering a new found strength,

And move forward with renewed peace,

From the pain and all its length.

To look for love and laughter,

And share the joy with all,

To accept the healing power,

That will help to stand tall.

To find the joy in living,

And find a renewed sense of worth,

To look to the future,

And find the courage to heal the hurt.

When life is filled with pain and sorrow,

And you can't find a way to cope,

You feel like you've been left hollow,

And that you have no hope

But there are ways to heal your wounds,

And to make your spirit whole,

To learn the lessons that life presents,

And to not let them control

Emotional abuse can cause much fear,

And it can tear you down,

But you can find the strength to heal,

And sew the wounds up you have found

The first step is to recognize,

That these are not your faults,

That you can find peace of mind,

By learning to be your own advocate

The next step is to be kind to yourself,

And to listen to your heart,

To recognize that the pain from the past,

Is not the only way to start

Then, use positive affirmations,

To remind yourself of your worth,

And work to build your resilience,

So that you can heal the Earth

Surround yourself with people who care,

And who can understand your struggle,

And find the courage to speak your truth,

Though it may feel like a struggle

Take time to explore the things that you love,

And the things that bring you joy,

And begin to appreciate the small things,

That make life feel like a toy
