Cocaine addiction is the result of the body becoming dependent on the chemical called "Cocaine". Cocaine is a highly addictive and highly volatile compound. How long does cocaine stay in urine? Cocaine stimulates the brain chemicals such as dopamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin to a level that produces feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and even confidence. When taken in extremely large doses over a prolonged period of time Cocaine can be extremely addictive. Cocaine addiction is not limited to the Cocaine users but extends to any person who has taken any drug or substance that has affected the brain chemistry in a negative way.

Cocaine addiction has become a problem for many people all over the world. There are many stories of young adolescent youth, teenagers, and adults alike who become addicted to cocaine in a very short period of time. The majority of cocaine users do not suffer any long term Cocaine abuse problems, but there are some cases where Cocaine addiction does develop over a period of time. Many people who become addicted to cocaine do so because they use the drug excessively for non-prescribed purposes.

Cocaine abuse will often produce physical effects that are noticed on the user. These physical effects will often lead to death if not treated by a professional. Often the physical effects from Cocaine abuse produce feelings of nausea, anxiety, and extreme tolerance. In a Cocaine addiction, it is not uncommon for the Cocaine users to experience euphoric feelings for a short period of time, followed by overwhelming feelings of anxiety and discomfort.

Cocaine users often feel anxious and experience feelings of panic. Cocaine addiction, when used excessively, will often make a person physically ill due to the amount of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine being consumed. Cocaine abuse, whether it be recreational or in a medical situation, will produce long term changes in the brain chemistry. One of the long term physical effects from Cocaine use is heart attacks. Cocaine users often have a high risk of experiencing a heart attack as their brain chemistry is altered.

Cocaine users often experience cravings for the drug. Cocaine addiction has been linked to an increased craving for the substance. When the drug cravings start, the Cocaine users body will want to consume the substance. If the Cocaine user is not able to control the cravings, then they will experience withdrawals and begin to suffer from symptoms such as anxiety, depression, restlessness, and tremors. Cocaine addiction has long term physical effects and can cause cravings to return time again.

Another reason why Cocaine abuse can deteriorate a person's physical health and cause long-term mental health problems is because of the lack of self-esteem, anxiety, and stress. Cocaine addicts often suffer from anxiety, depression, and mental health issues because they lack confidence and self-esteem. Long term Cocaine abuse will often leave behind scars that will cause mental health issues for the user.

Cocaine addiction also causes the release of Dopamine, a chemical in the brain that regulates mood, appetite, energy, and sexuality. The more that the user uses cocaine, the more the levels of Dopamine are depleted. Without the Dopamine, the person will exhibit symptoms such as anxiety, depression, and fatigue. Cocaine users who abuse the drug do not have the necessary amounts of Dopamine in their system and their symptoms will only continue to get worse over time. Cocaine addicts who abuse the drug often go without treatment and can face jail time if they are caught.

Cocaine addiction is often caused by a mental health issue and needs to be treated by a professional. People who use cocaine on a regular basis develop tolerance, which means that they need to use the drug more to achieve the same effect. When the user goes without the drug for a long period of time, the levels of Dopamine are again depleted and the user experiences severe psychological symptoms and negative cravings. Many times these cravings are related to feelings of anxiety, irritability, depression and fatigue. If you or someone you love is suffering from the effects of Cocaine addiction, you may want to seek help from a drug rehabilitation center.
