Do you love meeting new people? Do you love to be friend with others? Do you like to start a conversation? Do you like to talk and gossip about things? Does a big social event leave you feeling energized and renewed? If you can answer yes to these questions, then there is a possibility that you are an extrovert.
There are two common traits of personality given in Jung’s theory of personality. Extrovert and introverts are personality traits that was first introduced by Carl Jung in his personality theory. Carl Jung belongs to the psychoanalysis school of thoughts and his most of the work is on personality. Jung also stressed on the term ‘individual differences’ and give the concept of introversion and extroversion.
According to Carl Jung there are two types of personality traits in an individual, extrovert and introvert, both of these are opposite to each other. If extrovert is outer world than the introverts are inner world.
Extroverts
Extroverts are individuals who select outer world and like to interact with others. They are social butterfly, they love to socialize and expand their social circle. They are the charm and life of the party, and party seems really boring without an extrovert person.
1- Non-Stop Gossips/ Chatter-Box
Extrovert like to talk nonstop on different topics. They are good communicator, you can talk to them on anything as they are good listener too. They will make you more comfortable and will empower you too. When you talk to them you feel new energy in yourself. They have creative mind and never feel shy to share their ideas. They are more expressive than other and straight forwardly express themselves.
2- Discuss their problem
Most extrovert discuss their problem with others to find out the solution and question with others on their problems. They feel relaxed after discussing their problems with others and their stress and anxiety reduce at low level. Discussing problem make them more confident and polish their interpersonal skills. They are also a good problem solver and in team they give their 100% to solve the issues. They lead the team and collectively solve problem.
3- Auditory learner
Extrovert are generally auditory learner, they enjoy listening and remember things that they hear from others. In a research auditory learning style is the most frequently preferred learning style of an Extrovert students. Kinesthetic or learning by moving and visual learning style is the most preferred learning style of introvert.
4- Welcoming and friendly
Extrovert are friendlier with others, they make friend easily. They enjoy the company of others and have a large social circle. And they like to keep on grow their social circle. After having new interaction they new energy and motivation in life. Extroverts are always willing to listen and share their ideas with others, and they are easy to get to know by the others. In a social gathering an extrovert will be the first one to start a conversation, and this might be the reason that extrovert make more friends and have a large social circle.
5- No fear of adventure
Extroverts may involve in risky behavior. Some theories assert that their brain is wired to reward them for it if it goes well. One study observed that extroverts who take risks and do well are rewarded with dopamine that is a chemical that triggers the reward center of the brain and it can be another reason why extroverts are willing to engage in the risky behavior.
