Colombian marijuana symbolized the sprawling, commercialized 70s drug culture that would eventually lead to notorious cartels and an awesome Netflix series called Narcos. Growing Sweet Sensimilla Bud
Up in the misty canyons of the Sierra Nevada, the word is sinsemilla. The pot that’s hand-tended and carefully watched through the growing season is the finest domestic smoke you can find, if you can find it. Strewn all over California are small homesteads growing this weed without seeds, stems or smuggling problems. The quality of this pot is unmistakably due to the careful tending of the grower. During the growing season the farmers are prepared for the worst, especially rip-offs, and many weeks are spent sleeping in the field of highs with a weapon and a paranoid outlook.
Super Weed Strains
So there you are at the wine-tasting party, and this rather knowledgeable guy slides up to you with a gleam in his eye and a bottle of unknown vintage and begins his rap, "Hey man, this wine is outta sight! Blue Beaujolais, the real stuff; high altitude grapes... it’ll blow you right away. Here, put a little in your glass and sip it; this is dyna-mite juice! We did the burlap thing, you know, wrapped the bottle in burlap and kept it in the cellar for three months. Really increases the potency. And I just passed it through a Boozifier; turns sedimentary crap into iso-menthyl-ethyl alcohol by simmering it in acetone. Knocks your head off!..." What the fuck. At this point your on the cell with your imaginary friend.
History of Cannabis
The marijuana you smoke may already be legal, if courts listen to the most current botanical information, the argument goes like this. By present federal law, marijuana is defined as one particular plant species: Cannabis sativa, identified by Linnaeus in 1753. According to the best botanical research now available, however, there are several other species of cannabis. Among the species accepted by other governments and botanists around the world are Cannabis indica, classified by Lamarck in 1783, and Cannabis ruderalis, established by the Russian botanist Janischewsky in 1924. When a whole, mature plant is available for inspection, botanists can with some assurance identify the species to which it belongs, but when the plant is chopped up, dried, cleaned, and popped into a baggie ready to be blazed, it is impossible to tell which species it is. Therefore the government, when it busts you for a lid, cannot prove that what you possess is in fact the forbidden species Cannabis sativa and not one of the others; the government can't prove that the weed you have is illegal.
