Cannabis and Crohn's Disease
Well hello there! I'm taking a guess that either yourself or someone close to you suffers from some sort of inflammatory bowel problem and are looking for answers. For so many years cannabis has been put down and explained to all generations as a drug; a dangerous addictive drug that is a gateway to the hard stuff. Unfortunately it took people some time to understand that this can be used for good but thankfully that time is now and there is new and promising research that comes out everyday showing the benefits of this plant.
Shaylyn PerryPublished 6 years ago in PotentThe Miracle of CBD
I can honestly say that CBD is my lifeline. I only wish I had found out about it sooner. It would have made a significant difference in my high anxiety levels, as well as my physical issues. CBD is a cannabis compound without the THC that gives one the feeling of being “stoned.” Studies have shown CBD to be a potential treatment for conditions ranging from arthritis to schizophrenia.
Linda PaulPublished 6 years ago in PotentDoes Cannabis Lower Blood Pressure?
I am not a doctor. This is not an official medical answer to the question, Does cannabis lower blood pressure? I haven't found a lot of great research published on the subject, but the individual accounts are adding up so I thought I'd share a brief account of the results I got through personal blood pressure testing and trying to get an answer to this question.

Zoe CameronPublished 6 years ago in PotentWhy I'm Scared of Marijuana
Backstory I used to smoke marijuana every day. I was 17 at the time and all I could get a hold of was Reggie. I would go to my friend's houses and smoke. I never got high from it but I claimed to be a stoner. The first time I got high I was with my best friend. She didn't tell me that I was smoking synthetic marijuana. I started feeling really bad and all I remember was waking up on the floor with everyone around me and throw up next to me, they told me I had a seizure. After that, I didn't smoke for a year. They didn't tell me until five months later that it was synthetic because they were scared I would press charges.
Jessica ShoemakePublished 6 years ago in PotentPain Relief
It's easy for a physician to prescribe an anti-inflammatory or even narcotics to someone who has chronic pain or is needing something for pain relief. There is so much conversation and taboo around using cannabis for people who suffer from many conditions. We, as a world, are starting to feel a little more comfortable with the use of cannabis. People are realizing that cannabis isn't the "worst" thing to be putting in your body. I mean let's be a little more real here for a second... In the 1880s, cocaine was commonly used for toothaches (don't think for a second, adults were the only ones using it). Or better yet, using some good Ol'Herion hydrochloride to soothe that annoying cough. What are the benefits of cannabis or opioids? The dangers? Side effects? Read more to find out! There's a good chance this extraordinary plant will be your best bud!
Megan Altman-PricePublished 6 years ago in PotentHow You Can Use Cannabis to Reduce Opioid Dependence
It is no secret that the United States in embroiled in a serious crisis surrounding opioid medications. It is hard to watch television or traverse the internet without being confronted with ads for addiction help services, rehabilitation centers, and multi-part news segments, all lamenting the growing scourge of opioid prescriptions and drug abuse. With celebrities like Prince and Tom Petty passing from fentanyl overdoses, it is hard to not question the safety of such substances. As you likely know, opioid medications are derived from opium, from which heroin is also composed. What you may not know, fentanyl is the Hitler of opioids, being far stronger than straight heroin, and becoming more and more prevalent in overdoses nationwide. As such, these drugs are highly addictive, both physically and psychologically, and can consequently be more devastating and addictive than the likes of cannabis. Prescribed for all kinds of injuries and pains, they are surprisingly easy to acquire legally. In this way, restriction to access of these powerful painkillers has often done more harm than good, sending these addicts to the street for their fix. As such, it is not surprising that the country has an opioid crisis on its hands. However, in looking for a solution to this public health disaster, one may find that some solutions are counter intuitive. In light of its gradual reintegration into legality, some medical professionals believe that it may be possible for one to use cannabis to reduce opioid dependence.

Nolan JamesPublished 6 years ago in PotentHow Cannabis Could Replace Anti-Anxiety Medicine
Few people know that they suffer from anxiety until they experience some extreme feelings. They may suffer from narrow vision, chest tightness, too many thoughts, and pressure on the body. Some patients experience difficulty when looking at the right treatment for anxiety. This is because people have different brain chemistry, which reacts differently to medications. So, is it true that cannabis could replace anti-anxiety medicine?
How Marijuana Has Helped Me Mentally
Marijuana has helped me mentally for several years now. I have an array of mental scars and pain due to past traumas and mental illnesses. I was abused in several ways as a child and it has taken a toll that has carried through into adulthood. PTSD is a serious illness and I am lucky to have a less severe form than most Americans. There have been times that I have felt so low due to these traumas that I have had to be hospitalized and put on so many medications that absolutely do not help. Sure, depression medication can help to a certain degree. Mood stabilizers can help to balance between the highs and the lows. But nothing can really take away that pain and trauma, not even marijuana. However, the medications that physicians push can fry your brain and numb you into someone that you do not even recognize. For me using marijuana as a medicinal alternative has been life-changing.
Nolan JamesPublished 6 years ago in PotentReasons Seniors Are Using Medical Marijuana
It seems, more and more, that the age-old question as to whether marijuana is a drug or medicine is at the forefront of the public's mind. It is true that cannabis's uses as a pain relief aid are widely known. It is also true, though, that in spite of its effectiveness, medical marijuana remains illegal in about half of the United States. As the nation slowly trudges toward universal legalization, more and more people are turning to smoking marijuana or ingesting CBD oil to cope with chronic pain and other medical conditions. This raises the question: Who are the fastest growing group of medical marijuana users? Senior citizens. Between 2006 and 2013, marijuana use among Americans aged 65 and up grew by over 250 percent. Here are just some of the many reasons seniors are using medical marijuana now more than ever before.
